Ghostbusters trailer

Atari also released this trailer of Ghostbusters, though all of it seems to be CG.

Man as much as the second part of the trailer got me excited, they need to really, really get someone else to do the trailers! The line delivery was very lethargic... you can tell it's easy money for the boys in grey, but what the hell, count me in. Total GB fanboy.

No, its not CG, just really good models and textures.

I agree it could be real-time cutscenes technically, but I wouldn't expect this level of technical strength from a game that wasn't something like Gears 2, Sonic Unleashed, or Devil May Cry 4 (which have the most technically impressive realtime cutscenes of any games)

This game sooooo needs to be 4 player co-op. That be some ectoplasmic greatness right there!!

I grew up with the ghostbusters at a time when my imagination was still young enough to really get stuck in to the films atmosphere. I loved it then, and still have a soft spot for it now.

Ghostbusters is the best film evah. I'm deadly serious.

No, that not CG. Those are in game assets being used. If it was CG it would be depressing. Usually if you look at the actual source models and stuff you'll find teh detail is extraordinary, especially in games like Bad Company, etc. But after the low resolution and the upscaling and the AA and the texture filtering, realtimes effects and lighting techniques, etc, thing start to look a little less impressive. I'm not sure its a realtime cutscene, but its certainly using in game models and stuff.

only 25 years too late, but looks nice ^_^ they even made models of the actual actors and they are recognizeable, too! but surely they won`t have their real voices, will they? that would be cool!

To Answer that: The voices are all real! The story is done by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis! Even additional voices include, Annie Potts aka Janine Melnitz and William Atherton aka Walter Peck. Also Bill Murrays brother, Brian Doyle-Murray as the new Mayor of New York. This is touted as Ghostbusters 3 but we will see if this does well enough to warrant a real CGI Ghostbusters 3 which they are talking about. Anyways this Game will rock :D

What's up?
  • digi_matrix
digi_matrix Paranormal Activity was insane, totally deserves being the most profiting indie film ever made. I saw the original version, not the theatrical one. WAY BETTER! (24 minutes ago)
  • SimonM7
SimonM7 Nope, no such prestige I'm afraid. Just 1½ year of comic making and ICQ channel community on quakenet of all places. :) 2002 doesn't sound far back but it's soon 8 years ago. Time sure does roar past. (6 Hours ago)
  • Megido
Megido Did you make comics and stuff for kong back in the day? The art looks similar :) (7 Hours ago)

SimonM7 Thanks :D and yeah I do. M7 was originally a webcomic, and the idea now is to make it a bit of an entertainment blog in general and a webcomic. Only done two strips so far since I rebooted it in may. (8 Hours ago)
