GT5P demo: Captures

While waiting for videos (when I'll manage to actually drive...), here are some captures from the demo of Gran Turismo 5: Prologue now available on the japanese PSN.
Update: Added a second series of images.
Update2: Added a first gameplay video. Low resolution 640x360, but at 60 fps (except for the stream). And as a bonus, everything you shouldn't do on a real track :)
Update3: Last video for me tonight, with a bit of the awesome realtime menu, followed by a replay of great race. 720p of course!
Update4: Snoopers speaking, here's a gameplay montage of one race I did with a white BMW, in 720p and 60fps. This is how ya win a race son !

Cars are looking great except jaggies on them but the track is looking bland, low poly and somehow 2D.

Only racing games to excite me was GT1 colin mcrae 1 and burnouts 1-2

everything else just feels the same just ....well with added blur.

Doesn't look nearly as good as the media Sony/Polyphony released. Kind of disappointed with this, I had high hopes that this would be a visual treat.

They released mostly bullshots from photomode *and* replays (30fps with extra effects - motion blur etc)
BUT they also released some screengrabs from game:

Just finished playing it. Car models, and the lighting on said models, looks great.

Blim! How you say the physics compare to HD demo?

I see they haven't bothered to change the sound of the tires yet, and from the touches with the other cars, it seems like bumper cars still is the order of the day.

Car models are amazing though.

Take a replay video if you can Blim.

im loving it atm

oh exept those cockpit view shadows and car models, they look fantastic
but PGR4 is amazing, if you have a 360 you NEED it

I wasnt blown away by the demo as much as I had hoped for!
I thought they said they were using damage models this time around?

I'll stick with my Forza for now thank you.

Just played it in 1080p, frame rate is really good, no slow down, awesome lighting, very impressed, No AA though :(

16 cars on track (Forza should be hiding its head in shame)

Jioann00 I wouldn't say PGR4 looks much better either, it's hard to tell as the demo doesn't have any city tracks, I would say they are probably similar in terms of graphics.

I though the tracks looked ok, its hard to populate a circuit track anyway, as they are naturally quite bland.

Blue_Eagle44 the thq dealwas 26 quid also bought a couple of other games outside it. Apparently the pack saves you £183. Dawn of war 2 i swear used to be around 25 quid or so, glad i never bought it now lol. (1 Hour ago)
