Xbox 360 PS3

The fruits of randomness are most of the time very strange. While I was just done with the writing of my Grand Theft Auto IV news about a funny image from the game, I discover a new video for it : a naval pursuit complete with a police boat! Isn't life marvelous (and hammered by waves)?

After a quick verification, because I was instantly glued to my keyboard in order to write this news, the video seems to be only a montage of previous scenes from the old trailer. Too bad. At least there's a police boat! Whatcha Gonna Do About It?

Because they don't want to unveil too much at a time. If a picture is worth a thousand words, imagine what a video is worth!

i've never played a gta game, i know its open world and you virtually do anything ( or so i heard). is this game like an rpg where you have missions but can approach each mission differently or do u do whatever you want choose to follow main story or not

the reason why i ask is because i'm not huge fun of mindless killings unless if they's a reason for it. i heard u can hookers, cops, pedestrians, etc. is that all they is to gta??

The main gameplay USED to be like that, where you entered a mission, could either succeed or fail, do it any way you like (there was usually more than one way to tackle anything). You can choose to not follow the main story, but you usually would do the 'main' missions eventually to unlock more areas. Lots of side missions AND lots of other things to do in the games.

GTAIV will supposedly break that 'structure' and make it more realistic. You will still get goals, but it won't be like you 'enter missions' anymore (from what I hear).

It's never completely mindless killing unless you simply want to. Usually when you kill someone it's either part of a mission or someone that gets in your way. It doesn't often really back up the killing aspects in the storyline, but it is a videogame. For example, in the beginning of GTA:SA, you're being framed for murder, so you proceed to kill thousands more...

Still, that's certainly not what GTA is 'all about', unlike MANY other games (everything from No More Heroes to Doom to World of Warcraft), the games are very deep, very complex, and have a lot of openness, there really is no games that come close, even to this day.

What naval pursuit? It's all old footage and the naval scene's like half a second long.

In GTA games, you never have to kill any innocents if you don't want to. However, you do play as an antagonist and you can kill anyone you want at any time. I would say you are missing out if the only reason you haven't played it is because of mindless killing because there are plenty of other things to do.

To tell you the truth though, I've spent plenty of hours on this game killing random people. To each his own...

the game is not all about random killing. u could go the whole game without killing a single innocent. but it will be hard to avoid killing innocents wen cops are trying to ram you off the road and you end up running over that lone pedestrian.

360ownage I hope your IP gets banned.

Back on topic, nice teaser but no new footage. I simply cannot wait for this game! The GTA series has always been extremely entertaining, the attention 2 detail is what really grabs me.

Looks a lot better in motion. I've only watched the first trailer that came out months ago, so it's great to see a refresher. The shadows are very impressive, casting on every object it seems like. The animation is also great, but that's something that Rockstar has always been good at.

I think this game is gonna be a big succes, at least I hope so.. I have to admit that I never really played sandbox games like GTA, but since I played Saints Row and Crackdown I know I like these kind of games.. So I'll get and play GTA-IV for sure (Xbox 360), since I think it's still the #1 franchise in the genre that you have to play if you like sandbox games..

As much as I love SR and Crackdown, GTA will always PWN it HARD. You have no idea what to expect. San Andreas owned SR and that was a PS2 game. Just imagine what this game is going to do.
