Second part of the Developer Diary dedicated to the realization of the characters of Halo 4, this time the designers and artists explain how they created a "new" race of enemies: the Forerunners, their technology and their weapons.
I love shooting organic enemies, much more satistfying shooting on flesh and blood coming out.
Shooting at metallic enemies suck, various games proved this like Mass Effect, Vanquish, Crysis 2...etc.
I am just happy they went with 720p native resolution a first for Halo and the visuals are great.
waaaaaaaaaay too much rocks in the missions. So far the jungle is the only real exciting environment.
Almost every scene they the video showed had no plants (except for some grass here and there). Yes, the Lighting and the actual panorama looks unbelieveable awesome but I don't like the fact that most environemnts are just dead canyons. Day or night doesn't make it look different, 343i = P
Seems like 343i only knows the Sahara. lol. A game like Read Dead Redemption can show how nature life can look in a desert like environment.

Guess you have not been keeping up with the videos as there have been many more enviroments than just the dessert and jungle, in fact i have not seen so many different locals in a Halo game to date, and we have yet to see them all yet.
If you watch the MP vids you will see that the Forerunner gun animations are quick enough not to effect any of the MP players equipping them (if you already have it equipped in your loadout or you have already picked it up and holstered it, i dont think it animates again when selected??).
Man SP looks so bloody EPIC!!, i really cant wait any longer.
That was so awesome. I am so jealous of those guys working on that game, and that Cintique. I must have that HD one.
Great designsm looks fun. I can't wait.
Didn't they imply in the animated Halo film that the Forerunners were humanoid? this look is ok for a videogame but it kind of looks lame if they are screwing up the already known history.

That being said, these aren't actual Forerunners. I'm assuming they are based off of one of the many species they Collected/ruled over...
