Heroes of CoJ The Cartel

Heroes of CoJ The Cartel

Choosing to set the story of Call of Juarez The Cartel in modern times is probably still considered a very controversial decision. We must confess that we share the same concern as most of you guys, but we would love to be pleasantly surprised when the game is released. Until we can find out, Ubisoft sent us these three videos presenting the three main characters of the game.

Well, my excitement went way down. Generic as fuck, feels like another exploitation crime romp.

With the exception of the voice acting, looks like the same rubbish the rest of the Call of Juarez series has been - which is good enough for my money.

Even after playing the first game, I have always felt that Call of Juarez was more of an acquired taste, and so far everything that I have seen about The Cartel, outside of it's modern setting, falls right in line with that - a taste that I am happy to have acquired.

At least Techland always creates somewhat interesting characters to play with.

i think they are kinda influenced from Breaking Bad TV series and changed the game's course towards modern day juarez

About the game

What's up?
  • Moonwalker
Moonwalker @MrWhite: Yeah i honestly had not expected that. I've always believed we would never get the impact of a Mario 64 anymore or OOT, but if we go by Edge......damn. But i'll believe that when i see it:) (13 minutes ago)
  • MrWhite
MrWhite That is some seriously high praise. It's lifted my anticipation through the roof. (21 minutes ago)
  • MrWhite
MrWhite @Moonwalker: Where arbitrary review scores fail is conveying any kind of context or comparison to give a sense of just how good something is. It's summaries like that that hammers the point home. (22 minutes ago)
  • alimokrane
alimokrane @Moonwalker: EDGE has always had a soft spot for nintendo anyway. (29 minutes ago)

Moonwalker Edge's conclusion is.....holy shitballs... [url] (41 minutes ago)
  • MrWhite
MrWhite @Moonwalker: Yeah, it's indicative of not only gaming culture today, but anywhere with a forum in general, sadly. (54 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX I was thinking about playing it in a month or two when it's a little easier to find a Switch but I don't know if I'll wait. (56 minutes ago)
