HOME adds some layers of paint

HOME adds some layers of paint

The Home phenomenon for Playstation 3 continues to appear through screenshots taken this time from the japanese version of the "game". Anyway, it's looking sharp and we will invite you in our humble part of this world as soon as we will have built it (a castle deserving our presence of course, with a service of Cabernet Sauvignon or, if there's none, some lemonade for all!).

more believable. its easy to suspend your disbelief if your playing as a normal character in a fantasy world. playing as a giant toad or ogre or some crap, not so much.

anyway, it looks good. i love how clean everything looks. almost like 3dsmax renders. doubt i'll be using it much come release. but its a nice feature to have.

Now i can finally dress myself, talk to other people and play bowling.

No it looks really good, quite ambitious and hopefully it'll be cool :)

It really does look good, even if it comes off like Ken and Barbie's Dream house at times.

Well we all recognize that it's more than a little dorky. lol

A couple of people I know with PS3s are definitely getting this so I will see what they think about first.

it looks nice, but i'm sure the HOME population will dwindle to nothing after a few weeks....The whole concept seems so boring. It's an MMO without the fun...

Seriously, how cynical do you have to be to diss something that's completely optional and free?

When's the release date, anyway?

.

And on top of that, all the PS3 titles have goodies to offer for HOME, like trailers, trophies, posters, even clothing from your favorite games...etc.
Its a fun factor for communicating to your friends, showing off your crib, clan discussion...fun stuff.

I personally, doubt I will use it, but considering that I am all for showing off good stuff form my favorite games, I think I have to , but we will see.

Isn't that Prince of Persia? The new one? 3rd pic from bottom.

Home meanwhile looks like a horribly cynical "cool" marketing exercise. Which, er, it kinda is. You can criticise something even if it's free, you know.

Actually, this reminds me of Uru, thinking about it...

I can't wait for this!!!

Although, I wish I knew someone other than myself that has broadband internet and a PS3, so I would have someone that I know and could hang out with when this comes to the PS3.

What's up?
  • Doom_Bringer
Doom_Bringer oh yea that, Dragon Age was preloading at the time (4 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX Maybe.. it's different for pre-loaded stuff too. (4 Hours ago)
  • Doom_Bringer
Doom_Bringer @GriftGFX: well Dragon age extracted is suppose to be arround 20 gigs but the download was only 8 gigs or 15 gigs...procedure might be different for newer games (5 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX 45 minutes for this game would have to be like... 3+ megabytes per second. My Comcast can't do that. (5 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX My FFOW DL is almost 12.9 gigs and like 95% done. (5 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX Steam appears to download extracted and installed, there's no install process once you finish downloading a game. (5 Hours ago)
  • Doom_Bringer
Doom_Bringer D2D file right now is 9.2 GB's. I think it was less when I was downloading it (now its extracted) I am pretty sure Steam works the same way. 12 gb is probably the extracted size :P (5 Hours ago)
