Image of GR: Advanced Warfighter 2

Microsoft sent this single image from Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2, showing some quite interesting things. First, the new class - medic. Second, a new environment setting - desert. And last, the M.U.L.E, a new ground-drone that work as a cover for you and your team, but also as ground reconnaissance and as a mobile weapon station.

i can't wait for this game, the first graw was excellent, i just hope that they make the single player and the co-op game are the same, like gears of war and rainbow six vegas.

Looks rendered.

btw, why give the medic a gun, and not uh, a helmet?

That's definitely in-game, the AA is insane though, no jaggies FTW !

I wouldn't say rainbow Six Vegas had the same singleplayer while playing Co-op I bought it with my brother but didn't play past the first lvl in co-op because they made a stupid mistake by taking away all the intel and speech from the co-op game, what's the point in that!? I played Gears of War through with my bro in Co-op and still got all the info and intel that I'd get by playing through the singleplayer game and I haven't even played it singleplayer alone actually, I'd really have liked to playe through the Vegas campaign with my bro but Instead I had to wander around with a bunch of stupid npc's.

But what comes to Graw 2, well the pic surely looks nice but I think it's game stuff with a better rendering and AntiAliasing ON.

It is ingame but given the photoshop treatment of course. now way this is ingame. ubisoft are really pissing me off lately with such nonsense.

Ubisoft has the tendency to touch-up their screenshots.

"Microsoft sent this single...."

Why Microsoft? Shouldnt this be coming from Ubisoft?

I don't see the need to doctor any Xbox360 images. The roof in the pic is the only thing that looks like it hasn't been doctored. Useless photoshop work.

I know ubi likes tony scott movies, but why this heavy orange filters.

They probably gave it a touch-up. I remember how some of the original GRAW pics looked--they were insane. And then they showed the video and the graphics were much less realistic.

Everything looks so fricking smooth, I hope it actually will look like this.

Downscaled from a huge res = magical supersampling AA.

Some of the mods here cleverly called them "bullshots". It's a great name to describe doctored screenshots (including downscales or everything except direct framebuffer grabs) but unfortunately people are too simple to understand what it means. So.. this post is pointless as usual.

Luckily the PS3 will run everything at 100fps or more, at 1080p with supersampling from an actual native res of 4096x2048.

About the game

What's up?
  • droezelke
droezelke @Melmoth: Just read up on it. Itls developped by a member of Crytek while still working for Crytek and is based of the CryEngine, but it is proprietary to Ubisoft. How that works in terms of royalties (2 Hours ago)
  • droezelke
droezelke @Melmoth: Is the Dunia Engine Crytek property? I don't think so (2 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX I mean they can keep upgrading it but why bother when they have more capable engines already. (15 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX I just think it shows its age in a lot of ways in FC5 and they have better tech so they should use it. (15 Hours ago)
  • Melmoth
Melmoth if they still pay royalties to crytech when using it they probably should (15 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX Although I think it's kinda time to retire Dunia. (15 Hours ago)
  • Melmoth
Melmoth @HR2: a lot of studios used modified UE3, games like Arkham Knight, XCom2, both being very problematic on pc. Interesting to see what those studios will do for their next games. (15 Hours ago)
