As expected the japanese site of Lost Odyssey has been updated today to celebrate the launch of the game. Some new images and this trailer, not really new for a lot of you guys I guess, were buried in there.

is just you, what you mean they really look like ff10 or ff8?, i haven't seen gunblades, scars, necklaces, super giant swords, leather cloth and those spikey hairstyles that ff8 and ff10 characters have...
inoue takehiko is a great character designer, just beacuse his characters have a wonderful color palette doesn't mean he is copying nomura's gayish style
Oog, the trailer had some nice cutscenes and alright-looking in-game stuff (framerate looked a little under 30fps?), but that vocal song needs to go and the little kid (the boy of the Palom & Porom clones) needs a better voice actor--or a better script. Having women voice young males has been typical in Japanese productions for decades, why change that now? (Or haven't they? Dun dun dun)
At least Kaim and the blue-haired chick seemed particularly well-voiced. Despite any gripes I might have with the final game, I'm sure I'd prefer the Japanese track over the English dub.
Sounded like there were a few spoilers in that trailer (if you understand some of the dialogue). If the game is going to be 20 hours of cutscenes, at least the overall quality (some voice acting aside) seems good enough to endure.
EDIT: Anyone know what's with the spectacles on Kaim in some of those scenes?
This game is hot and i can't wait to be playing this, but if it looks like any FF'S well it's just a bonus for me, i love a good story and a good game play, that keeps me playing and not falling asleep...
did he wear some sort of spectacles during a fight?
so you can customise your character's attire? i love jrpgs with that feature
it just sucks you only get to see your character equip a new weapon or shield during fights, would be awesome if you could see your clothes, and everything change during battles and when roaming the world
and damn for a game character, the girl with glasses is so cute

Please, no misunderstanding. I didn't say it is a copy of those games, but the whole flair just remindet me of those. Especially on ff10. But it was more than a compliment for me. I always loved designs in FF-games ^^
