Looks very promising! I loved the version on the Xbox. Some very scary moments had me put down my controller and stare away. At one point I even switched on all the lights in my room.
can't wait for this game. After Okami I am not too sure there's going to be a whole lot to keep my glued to my Wii. This might just be an exception.
this series should have been on the 360/ps3 imo. the increase in graphics would make the game even scarier. i can see why they chose the wii, with the whole movement based controls gimmick, but it just seems any serious sequel on the wii is destined to stagnate. i mean, it looks identicle to fatal frame 1/2/3 on the ps2. increased graphics would have at least changed things up enough to make it seem worth while.
I will kill someone if this doesn't make to the US. FF is bar none the scariest series ever made.
And I'm not one bit disappointed about this being on Wii instead of PS3, since Suda51 is involved. If you've played No More Heroes you know that guy doesn't use gimmicks.
At first I was pissed that this was coming to Wii and not PS3 or 360, but it looks like they are actually doing a good job with the graphics. As long as they don't go crazy with tacked on Wiimote controls I'll pick it up.

Well, looking closer it does seem as though the graphics have taken a slight step up, but I believe that at this point they probably care more about story and/or gameplay than graphics.
As much as I love the FF series, there's really nothing else on the Wii that interests me. Well, there were, but they are simply ports of games I already own. I know Nintendo is pushing for diversity on their system but they need to go even further.
Not that I'm complaining but is there a reason all these games have female characters? Is it something to do with the story? I've only played maybe a couple hours or two of the first and second game.

If I remember correctly so far the females have been related to the one in the original(whether by friendship or being a relative), or have actually been her.

People don't realize how much graphocal fidelity adds to atmosphere, which on a horror type game is CRUCIAL. Like, Crysis, the atmosphere was pretty spectacular, because it all looked so real and huge and stuff. I',m not saying realism, just fidelity.
That said, this is one of the better looking Wii games I've seen. Nice to see an actual game too, not freaking Bass Fisher or w/e v.v

Fatal Frame has NEVER been a game with cutting edge graphics
Also not everyone is so dependent on how a game looks, and the movement based controls are not a gimmick

im not dependant on how a game looks either, but theres no denying that if the game looked more realistic due to an increase in graphics, the game would be scarier. its just common sense. and sadly, thats never gonna happen on the wii. the devs had 2 option to improve the game...improve the gameaply, or improve the graphics...and on the wii it isnt doing either.
Please discontinue posting about the Wii, it irritates me every time you do. You just troll the shit out of every Wii thread. You don't like it's controls or graphics, we get it, you don't have to post about it each time.

Haha, good question. :D My guess would be because mostly guys play horror games, and guys would rather look at some girl (preferably young and in a cute or sexy outfit) being chased around by sickos (Haunting Ground) or ghosts (Fatal Frame). Well, I'm a girl and I don't mind cute girls in cute outfits, but I would also gladly play a handsome male character (Mafuyu from FF1 or Itsuki from FF2). :D Although we get to play Kei in FF3 and Choshiro in FF4, they are far from handsome to me. :P Also, they say girls are more sensible to ghosts than guys (sense them and see them better), maybe that has something to do with it.
But what would interest me more would be 1) why all male charas are either already dead or die later in the game and 2) why almost all girls' names are on ''M'' (Miku, Mio, Mayu, Misaki, Madoka). Ok, there are 2 on ''R'' as well (Rei, Ruka). :D
Anyway, the game looks great, but too bad it's for Wii 'cause I don't own that console and I don't feel like buying it for only 1 game. Must borrow it from someone... That is, if FF4 even gets released in US/Europe... Stupid Nintendo people who don't wanna release it. :(
