Sega has released a big bunch of images from The House Of The Dead 2&3 Returns, the remake on Wii of the arcade classics. The game is planned for a released in early March in the US, and hopefully soon after in Europe.
AHAH man i used to be so hooked on this game! Wii controller wont feel the same as holding the special shotgun.
I still a proud owner of typing of the dead.
Sega are about to release another House of the Dead called English of the Dead or something. Basically japanese text comes up and you have to type it in english or the other way round.
That looks awful! Just buy a Dreamcast if you want the best version of House Of The Dead 2. (Better than the arcade as they fixed all the slowdown and seemed to have better anti-aliasing, although maybe it was just the size of the arcade screen making it look worse.) At least this comes with HOTD3 too I guess (what happened to the 1st one?) but that also seems to look worse than the arcade/Xbox version. :S
By the way, I don't own a Wii but even I'm getting annoyed at companies total lack at effort when it comes to Wii graphics, lol! Or is the Wii actually less graphically powerful than the Dreamcast or something? (Not bashing, I'm honestly just curious.)

You seem to be wearing nostalgia goggles. It looks the same.

I believe that runs on the same hardware as Virtua Fighter 5, wouldn't be possible on Wii.
Yep, it runs on the Lindbergh, basically a protected PC: P4 3GHz, with a 6800GTX 256MB, 1GB memory... out of the Wii league.
I guess these 2 games are ports of the PC version of the HOTD, they were built around C++ language and DirectX which is easily ported to Wii (it takes time to convert direct3D to OpenGL and directsound to something else but it is quite doable).
Hotd is missing... maybe they just lost the source code and cannot port it anymore :)
Anyway, i d rather play them on PC, using the Wiimote if necessary (because yes, you can use the wiimote on a PC, with programs the likes of glovepie). Connecting PCs to HDTVs is not a problem nowadays
