THQ unveils the first images of MotoGP 2007, and it looks alot like its predecessor, to say the least. The game is planned to ship somewhere this year.
[Update]: 31 screens added.

They better fricking fix the screen tearing.
Yes, I agree. MotoGP '06 was pretty, but the constant tearing in like every corner got to me. I did not put much time into the last game, but what little I did get to play, I did enjoy. I think I'll probably grab this one, looks awesome! Hope there's yet another demo.
Looks great, btw..not that the last one didn't, so I'll take a marginal improvement.
Graphics look nice, but is GP now a yearly release? That would suck, there's no need to.
Framerate needs to stay at 60, and they need to fix the tearing problems. They also need to get rid of the very rough (last gen) edges from some of the tracks. I hope those spectators back there are 3D animated models, and I'm also hoping we see some decent damage in the series.
And like Jin said, that's some awesome tarmac, and people still wonder why FM2 is not that impressive?

I was thinking the same thing.. I guess they smell the $$$.. ;)
Looks good though, a bit better then MotoGP06 I think (asfar as you can tell from screenshots).. But you would expect that of a new 2nd gen version game..
The tearing should be fixed. There was an article on Gamasutra about how they put together their renderer and basically in the time constraints they had, the only way they could get 60fps was to have the camera fly around the track and take a "picture" for each frame of the lap and then stream that in via memory!
In the same interview they said that knowing what they do now from the first one, they can do a much better job on it.
If only it drove as good as it looks. No use working on the graphics when underneath its still Hang-on GP.
But just like with four wheel racing simulations, they are extremely scarce and this is is an ardace racer.
The most pathetic part of MotoGP 06 was how the track is angular like a bolt and the bike has absolutely no dampening. When you hit a climb or a dip it BLIPS instantly up and down just like in Virtua Racing in 1994. Now THAT is pathetic.
Comparable to an FPS without dampening in stairs (still happens). NUDGE NUDGE NUDGE. Even Doom (the first FPS to have stairs) had knee dampening FFS!
I hate everything about Polyphony Digital but their stupidly named Tourist Trophy is the king of bike sims and on the lowly PS2 of all things. It truly makes any MotoGP player look like a tourist.
ya i read about that fly around camera work around... they said it was horrible but a required sin to get the game out in time... the game still rocked but that explained the performance problems.... considering they reworked the engine the way they originally planned the game stands to be amazing ...
i do agree i hoipe they add dampening as well as damage modeling to the engine, i mean it was really wicked the crash anims of the player model, but i wanna see the bike tear itself up as well.
second picture has the tire buried in the ground.
If they can fix the framerate I might actually buy the game. I don't normally like racing games but Moto06 was a lot of fun (even in the demo), with fixed framerates I'd buy the game.
Blim et al, do you guys think you'll be filming/capturing some of the 07 version of the game to give those of us on the fence some impressions?

It looks way better then MotoGP 06 just look at the detail on the tires!

Fix the frame drops!
