I believe it takes place in the time of the crusades with European knights and their castles in the middle east.

Notice it says damascus in the 3rd artwork? Damascus is in syria, so that should give you a pretty decent idea of where it is set.

Looking at how many characters are on screen at once in such high details, makes me shrugg Dead Rising. Now all we need is a video of some gameplay.

roxwell.. when companies release screenshots, they mostly remove the HUD to let you see everything in the surroundings ;). --- Those towns must be very livingly IMHO.
