EA Playground is the representation the new casual target aimed at with the company Electronic Arts. Here's a new batch of screens for this game on the Nintendo Wii, which include a mini-game mixing voleyball and soccer. With the other one, we fly with hang gliders in multiplayer.

This game is gonna crash and burn. Wii Sports has a decent 'general' appeal. It's likable enough with the Miis that all ages and groups of people can enjoy it.

This has some of the worst art I've ever seen in a game. Most children will even be turned off by this.

I feel inclined to agree, and add Boogie to that list of.... I dunno. I just don't know what EA are thinking. It's a bit embarassing even. They seem to have.. sort of made their minds up about what kind of demographic they should be shooting for, and they've hired a bunch of people to create a look, clinically devoid of emotion, for that exact market. That market being.. whoever finds characters on bubble gum wrappers appealing.

The fact that EA is pledging support for the Wii was initially very encouraging, and SSX Blur is arguably the coolest version of those games yet, but if this is what they'll be providing in the future then they might aswell not bother. Like Jigen says, even kids are likely put off.

KORNdog @alimokrane: just get the samsung we keep recommending. it's honestly the best bang for buck you can get. you can get better sets, but you will pay the price. and it seem your budget isnt very high. (10 minutes ago)

alimokrane @KORNdog: It's so confusing man.. I have been slaving for a week for a decent 4kt TV and I keep hitting all these little things and it's annoying lol. (20 minutes ago)

KORNdog that's all i really understand of it. seems HDR10 is what most TV's have though, so you're probably safe with that. (1 Hour ago)

KORNdog a dolby featured one can still do HDR10. but it doesnt work the other way around. also dolby's goes up to 4000nits (arguably future proof but no TV supports it yet) and HDR10 goes up to 1000 nits. (1 Hour ago)

KORNdog @alimokrane: it's basically just a "brand" of HDR, HDR10 is pretty much the standard right now, and i think dolby do one too? (1 Hour ago)

alimokrane There are version of HDR? I can see some TVs have HDR 10 listed... what does that mean? (1 Hour ago)

alimokrane @KORNdog: Sadly I have to agree. This was a big let down for me.... I like FF13 better, there I said it! (2 Hours ago)
