Images of Force Unleashed

Images of Force Unleashed

Activision releases six new images of Star Wars: Force Unleashed. They're a bit small but it's better than nothing... I guess ? This title is the first Star Wars game developed internally by LucasArts since ages. We hope it'll turn out as good as it promises to be !

Looks sweet. Can't wait to spank some Trandoshan bum. Perhaps a Rodian or two as well.

What kind of alien is that in the last pic? Never saw one of those before this game.

Yes, my mad starwars lingo can be pretty frightening to the untrained nub. Didn't mean to alarm you.

why do you want to spank a rodian, Greedo is so underestimated and had plane bad luck back in the days XD RODIANS ROCK!
I hope i have the opportunity to hunt WITH a Twirrle instead, but i dont think they will implement these :)

CANT .... WAIT... NEED... THIS... NOW... (!)

Nah, this time seriously, take your time ,Lucas Arts, and make it the first proper and serious (Lego Star Wars was cool indeed, but I want something earnest now)
part of the SW Galaxy since ages...

Developers are definately starting to figure out this generation of hardware...

someones foot is going through the ground in pic one :D

i just thought i would be the first Negative Nancy to find a flaw in this. but in all honesty, this game looks sickle. thats pickle and sick mixed together. meaning it looks awesome. i always loved star wars games. hopefully this one delivers

I hope they stop using the UT3 engine (seems like most who where using are stopping).

I doubt that will happen. Unreal Engine is one of the most successful pieces of licensed engine tech out there. A handful of current generation games even made use of UE2.5--and UE3 will be around well into the next generation of consoles.

It's an Aleena. Don't you remember the podracer Ratts Tyerell in The Phantom Menace? Although that seems to be a giant one since I'm sure all the Aleenas you see in The Phantom Menace are about 3ft tall at most.

I predict low replay and way too simplistic gameplay. All the focus is on showing off hardware and engines

I'm eager to hear what multiplayer modes/features will offer.

Only the Wii/DS versions have multiplayer. But the Wii version does actually look pretty good, although it lacks most of the cool physics features.

What's really bothering me is the fact that the PS2 version has extra sections of the game that aren't in the PS3/360 versions. I guess it's an attempt to balance out each one, but now it just feels like there's no real complete version of the game. I'm going to have to buy two copies of it, if I want the full eperience? Three if I want multiplayer features?

So far this is the only thing that's put me off..

That's sort of ironic, since wii has the crappiest multiplayer feature by far.
I think this illustrates it pretty well.

no the excellent way of telling a story is what has drawn most gamers to the game.
and the emotion that characters could express, this game is nothing more than a good old third person (beat um up)action adventure with some funny things like euphoria(or something like that) and objects break different depending on what its structure is.

but what i mean to say its a the hart of a game that make it good not........... ahhhhh thats bullshit everybody loves good graphics and funny application even if its just a stupid game.
but half life 2 has both emotion and the hocus spocus.

Clearly you've missed all the videos explaining the backstory behind Vaders apprentice, and what this game is all about then? It does seem to have a very deep backstory that even ties into both movie trilogies. But the fact you also have ridiculously over the top Force Powers and objects and enemies around you react in a very realistic way also helps, of course.

Even if the story turns out to be tosh, the gameplay looks to be a lot of fun to mess around with. More so than see-saw/weight puzzles, at least. There's an oppertunity to do so much more here.
