Well I prefer this look more than the last one, he looks more believable for his "job".
im rubbish at throwing granades on games
why cant it just be a power from his hands like on bioshock
just aim at which bit of land to deform then pull the trigger and have a bioshock style hand do the job.
imagine how frustrating it will be when at a crutial point in the game you miss-judge a throw and deform the wrong bit of land...
ive never been good at throwing granades... :(
and also, the world looks dull and boring and the character looks like a gears of war extra that didnt quite get a starring role so hees getting a really shit spin off game
It doesn't seem so great to me either.

jokes aside, i dont think that would be a good idea. we see enough games that take too much ideas from other games which makes games less fun. its not bad its just something u see all the time. i think its a great idea that they don't use that because not only does that take from bioshock, but also from star wars (the force). different is sometimes good, and using powers to lift up land is like being a god which is a dumb thing to be in a game (unless playing something like the sims).
this games graphics arnt that great but i bet the land destroying is gonna be fun
ditto. ever since i first saw it and it was getting some attention (god knows why) i've never liked it. depite having a pretty original gameplay premis, it still managed to come across as being extremely generic. a developer has to be pretty bad at their job to achieve that.
I don't mean to piss on the devs parade but I think they've gone the completely wrong way in terms of art direction.
It's generic and won't stand out.
If they want to spark interest in this game again, 2 screenshots aren't really the best way to go about it. Who knows maybe this is some sort of 'teaser' and we'll get a trailer/video in a few days. Who knows.
But one thing is for certain, if they want me to buy this game, there better be something else to this other than terrain deformation.
It's like they're tossing in all this random crap just to make the characters look "detailed". I mean look at that gun, it just looks ridiculous.
A clean, cohesive art style > gobs of unnecessary crap over every square inch of a character's body
