it looks quite good, a bit more like battlefield than the last showing of the game though.

Just like every UE3 game, it looks verry nice!
Its good to see there will be an alternative to EA's Battlefield series.
I could be mistaken, but was'nt there a demo of this one on the Marketplace!?

also does anyone know what game this team worked on previously?

Looks nifty. I remember seeing that the game has destructible environments, to a certain degree of course.

I think THQ is going to have trouble selling this game with the upcoming enemy territory: quake wars

From their website:

Kaos Studios, a division of THQ Inc. located in New York City, was formed in 2005 by industry veterans of the FPS genre. The core members of the group came from Trauma Studios, creators of Desert Combat (one of the most successful mods of all time from the original Battlefield) and the R&D team for DICE's Battlefield 2. The 75-person team includes additional members from the development teams of other acclaimed shooters, including FEAR, Medal of Honor and Doom 3. More information about Kaos Studios and its products can be found at www.kaosstudios.com.

It's very much like Battlefield. These guys helped design BF2.

If they market it, people will buy it. I'm looking forward to this despite ET. Plus this comes out in January which hopefully gives me some time with ET early. I'll get both even though one will probably get far less play time.

They're gonna be slightly different games.. certain aspects of FFOW sound more interesting to me though. As a BF2 player, I think it might be the game I've been waiting for.

What's up?
  • Doom_Bringer
Doom_Bringer hmm Ass Creed 2 looks amazing, seems I was wrong about it (just like Dragon Age), will buy the PC version on Day 1 (0 minute ago)
  • SchuddeBuikje
SchuddeBuikje The BF:BC 2 Beta is awsome, played it for about 15 hours now and i love it. (8 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX @Ishigami: Hear hear.. even though I hate a lot of things about MW2.. IW is still one of the most talented devs on the planet. Call of Duty screams: polish. (17 minutes ago)
  • Doom_Bringer
Doom_Bringer @Ishigami: whatever IW sucks, they are just another creatively bankrupt developer like Insomniac or Pandemic meh. They lifted a lot of gameplay elements from BF2 (24 minutes ago)
  • Ishigami
Ishigami @Doom_Bringer: How can modern warefare be stolen from anything but modern warefare? I mean WTF just because there is an Abrams means its a BF ripoff? - CoD plays nothing like BF so STFU IMO. (32 minutes ago)
  • PlumbDrumb
PlumbDrumb They made an updated version for UT2004, but it just didn't/doesn't have the community of the first. (35 minutes ago)
  • Slabs
Slabs @bleachedsmiles: Tactical Ops? That was pretty good. (1 Hour ago)
