Ubisoft sent new screens for Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon : Advanced Warfighter 2 on the Xbox 360. Starting next month, a total of nine maps will be available as an online download for the Xbox Live Marketplace, five of which are co-op. This collection offers quality visuals and nine new achievements for a total of 125 points. No price has been specified.

CO-OP MAPS

Caves - (Ghost Recon®)

 Azcona’s squads are using the nearby caves as an operational base for raiding army convoys across the river. Detain and extract the rebel leader and recon the area for any hidden weapon caches.

Railroad Bridge - (Ghost Recon)

 Intel reports the rebels are moving on a command post 60 clicks southeast of here. Protect the command post, recon the local rail line and hunt down the informant providing intel to the rebels.

Battlefield - (Ghost Recon)

 The last rebel unit in the area is holed up in the village of Venta. An allied armor unit on the edge of town is pinned down by artillery. Ghosts, knock out the enemy comm transmitter. Then escort the armor through the village.

Plantation – (Ghost Recon®: Island Thunder®)

 Intel shows a rebel leader’s motorcade is moving through the farms south of here. Take out his convoy and destroy all of the surrounding ADATS before Sabre Seven arrives for extraction.

Swamp Airfield - (Ghost Recon: Island Thunder)

 Azcona’s rebels have occupied a small island airfield. Recon the area for intel on this operation and destroy all aircraft to prevent any means of escape. The landing strip is targeted for an air strike so get out ASAP.

Any word on cost on this? I'm looking forward to it, if it is reasonably priced... say 800 pts.

With all the games coming out, having these Old School maps, warms my heart. I can't wait to see some of the old maps, upgraded for 360.

they shouldn't charge for them , the game is already old.

They should never charge for MP maps, periode.. They should just give them away for free to prolong the live of the game and keep the fans happy so those fans are more likely to buy their next game.. Charging for MP maps is nothing but annoying and splits the community between the people willing to buy and those who are not.. I'm glad I don't play FPS games on consoles that much, because this BS would turn me nuts.. I'll stick to the PC where thankgod it's this normal for most games to offer this stuff for free with just a few exceptions.. On that platform the Valve and Epic spirit of rewarding your fans instead of milking them is still alive..

I really like Xbox Live, but it's marketplace with charging for everything down to the smallest gamerpic is a capitalistic joke.. I understand companies exist to make money, but they have gone to far now imho.. It's simply not needed because they make enough money already from the games itself.. They need to stop this BS, but I fear it's already to late and it will only get worse.. They have managed to turn things arround by not rewarding gamers as respected customers, but to make gamers feel like they should be happy when they get offered anything.. The fact that they mention the word 'free' with demo's and trailers is rediculous, like it's some sort of privelage getting it.. Next step will be paying for stuff like that, mark my words.. People are sucked into it step by step, and before you know it it's accepted as normal to pay for vitually everything, even commercials.. Wanna see the new trailer? It's 100 points buddy..

But maybe it's just because I'm Dutch and not American, so used to a different culture when it comes down to things like this.. A nice example was some American friend of mine who visited our country some time ago and told me he was amazed how much cultural things etc could be visted for free overhere.. He said in the US they would put a fence arround it and charge entry.. That's the difference..

Its THIRD-person shooter, not FPS.

Call of Duty 4 is FPS for example.

I am happy to pay for this stuff, the alternative is that it wouldnt exist, I'd hand over the cost of two games to get recon 1 and island thunder entirely rebuilt for theis gen...those games were the best. I miss the huge open maps, green environments, and being able to snipe a single moving pixel and get as kill!

amerakindesi @Tiz: who is joe staten? I agree with your point though (6 minutes ago)
  • Tiz
Tiz If Joe Staten is working on H6, then they have a lot less to worry about as he can steer Halo's cinematic direction very well. (4 Hours ago)
  • Tiz
Tiz @amerakindesi: I think the planets are aligning quite nicely for Halo 6. They don't have to worry so much about multiplayer save for map design. Now they can focus efforts on the campaign. (4 Hours ago)
  • aphex187
aphex187 Best Xmas game evah! :D [url] (4 Hours ago)
  • amerakindesi
amerakindesi @Tiz: halo definitely relies more on individual skill, because every one is essentially the same character. halo is a still a great idea of a game. i hope they improve on "halo" for 6 (5 Hours ago)

docLEXfisti Snatcher was awesome, played it on the European Mega CD (7 Hours ago)

droezelke @Moonwalker: I agree. Other than the Metal Gear series, he didn't really present something as good. And I thought MGS5 was ultra boring (8 Hours ago)
