Images of Project Offset

Team Offset has released a new bunch of images from Project Offset. They also took the opportunity to confirm, via their homepage, that the game will be released on both PC and Xbox 360, but there's still no word on a release date.

Has a publisher picked this up yet? MS should throw some money their way to aid the development because this already looks better then most of the games out there right now.

EDIT:
After reading about Savage, which most of the team work on, the multiplayer aspect of Project Offset could be incrediable.

As beautiful as these screenshots are, they don't show a whole lot. Not the best from a framing/composition content point of view... but the details are nice, and lighting is excellent.

wow the motion blur is even better than Crysis's and Killzone 2's motion blur.

must be a demanding game
Commented on 2007-10-12 17:20:47
problem though is that everything has motion blurr :s

i wonder if there would be a ps3 version???

I recommend watching the video's on there website, even the old once. In one interview one of the developers states that the engine is all that demanding ( and that was like 1½ year ago. So should be no problem running it on todays PC's.

Well... you can't see anything on these screens so it's hard to say.

But Freddman is right. Project Offset looked great 18 months ago. I imagine it looks even better now.

I love their use of motion blue. Gives the game a real cinematic feel. It does look a bit overwelming in some screens but in motion it looks freakin sweet.

Great LOOKING game and thegameplay seemed like Assassins creed combat with a bit of a Oblivion/Dark Messiah style.

Can't wait to see more of the gameplay, the atmosphere in that latest teaser with gameplay footages was great, that huge battlefield with the big animals and all, very LOTR Return of the King feel.

Yeah the motion blur makes it IMO.

I love motion blur, but I agree a little too much of it.

The old shots and videos made it look impossible, but these shots look feasible. I think the older ones were mostly bullshots.

correct me if i'm wrong, but if i remember correctly this went from PC only, to PS3 only, to 360 and PC only. I have a 360, so i'm not complaining, but that's just wierd.

looks great, i wish the graphics went to better use though, the game seems kinda average in gameplay

They were prolly switching around publishers, or mabye felt that they needed to get the game out as quick as possible, stale game development just leads to a games death and having it on the 360 and PC is a great pair. From what developers have talked about, ported all your assets from PC to 360 is very smooth and fast. Programming for basically a whole new architecture (ps3) would just add so much time to a game that's already been in the making.

First it was PC and then under their job section they were looking for Xbox 360 devs which means it is coming to Xbox 360.

So it mans, PC and Xbox only.
Until they say PS3 themselves do not trust any other site unless its a new press release.

looks great so far; but as the XY release date approaches everything could happen

Wow! you can tell all that from a few screenshots and a couple two year old tech demos? You're awesome! <-sarcasm.

This was never PS3 only, it was first PC then PC and 360 and now it will most likely be on all 3 depending on how much of a pain it will be to port to the PS3 and if they feel like dealing with it.

At this point I am starting to wonder if this game will be released while these graphics are still considered to be above the norm.

Visually this game is amazing.

Remember the video? the amount of real time stuff happening during the game? I'm surprised it can be pulled off in a console a game with such visuals and scope

The game looks good from those screen shots. Jaggies in some spots. Wonder what happened to the PS3 version, cause I remember it being announced for it too.
Commented on 2007-10-13 01:20:23
it wasnt announced for any yet but alot of suspicion for consoles
Commented on 2007-10-13 05:08:35
oh man, when i saw the news for this on team Xbox i got so excited. I was hoping when they started looking for 360 devs that it would be announced for it.

To bad it didn't happen this way for Crysis.

Also, i used to watch there forums regularly and the only thing (except the 360 dev listing) they ever said about consoles was that they where considering.

This is the first ever official "from the devs mouths" conformation. They did have a lot of polls saying "what console would you like to see it on?"
