More interested in this than Gears of War 3, probably because its looking really good. But maybe not that fair as Gears hasn't shown that much of SP as of yet.
Yeah, me too. Gears just isn't as impressive now as Gears 1 was for it's time. The warhammer 40k: fire warrior FPS was a guilty pleasure of mine, this looks like it could continue with that trend :D
I played Dawn of War, Winter Assault, Dark Crusade and the other expansion, that was enough for me to love the universe without trying to get into the board game and the books.
I have not played Dawn of war II but I did not appreciate what they removed and added however it seems to have made sense a long time ago to have made a third person action Warhammer 40K game but understandably it makes a lot of sense that they took this long and they tried to be as carefull as possible to make the game the best possible to match the dev's vision and follow the rules of the WH40k universe. so I gotta give them respect for that it definetly looks like a must buy day one but I still gotta wait to see how it turns out as these screens are too clean and smell of PC version-itis and despite me owning a PC that can handle this game I am buying the console version only.
What's "too clean?" I see a distinct lack of DOF, but I actually appreciate that. That's usually the first damn thing I turn off. It's so poorly implemented into most games. It just makes shit blurry and hard to see. That's not a cool effect.

Pretty sure Warhammer actually coined the term "Space Marine" back in 1987 so why the fuck should they not use it, they OWN IT. Cliche maybe and I have never been a fan of the universe but it has spawned the imitators, not the other way around.
