Images of Tekken 6

Images of Tekken 6

Namco releases a big bunch of Tekken 6 screenshots, seventeen to be precise. The images still aren't in 720p, as usual, but the game looks good anyway.

Looks very nice indeed.
But there was a time I was into fighitng games, but not anymore.

DOA and Tekken are the only series for me, as fighting games goes of course.

The graphics and colours looks like DOA4.

Why such low-res pictures?

That light splash looks stupid

Indeed. Tekken never was a "realistic" beat'em up, but those 2D SFX of the Clash were kinda mnhé, but had a cool simple effect... I never felt the need for the sparks from a Sword fighter like soul Calibour. Bad choice Namco.

2 bad.

I think graphically it looks pretty good ,but I'm more into Soul Calibur style of gameplay.

Looks alright, i just wish the guys that do the models would learn to model muscles better. Just look at Feng in the firs couple of pics.

Oh well, this is one of those titles where graphics really does come second to the gameplay. I don't care if it looks crappy, really, if it plays great. Preferably both though.

Eddie was in Tekken 5. You just have to but the alternative costume for Christie and then press triangle when you select her. There, you can play as Eddie.

i've grown extremely tired of this series and all the other major franchises. tekken, vf, doa.. none of them impress me anymore. the art direction in all of them bore me, and i'm so tired of the way character models are portrayed in these fighting games anymore. animation is poor and hasn't changed much either. i really wish they would do a sequel to tao feng, because the artists were good, and they knew musculature and anatomy well. i just need something different, something a little more realistic that actually compliments the new advances in hardware. i can't believe no new devs are doing anything to compete with these old and tired franchises, because there is PLENTY of room for something new and innovative. these old franchises NEVER change. seems like someone would take notice, and do something new and interesting.
i do look forward to SC4, and if it doesn't spark my interest like the original dreamcast version did, then i think i'll give up on fighting games completely.

Your right these the main 3 fighting games don't change much but its only so much they can without alienating there fan base, but I play them all. This is the first current-gen Tekken so give a chance I think its going to have alot of new factors to catch PS3 owners attention.

Don't fix it if it ain't broken. Really, there are tons of people out there who love tekken because it's tekken, why change it up and displease the fans? Tekken and VF are both great fighters and changing them too much would not only scare off some of the fans but probably make the games more imbalanced too.

I think this is rubbish to be honest, if you compare VF1 to VF5, Tekken 1 to Tekken 6 or DOA1 to DOA4 they have changed greatly, perhaps they don't change much per sequel, but overall they have.

A fighter is a fighter at the end of the day and you can't change it hugely without making it something new, you have to keep the same characters and art style (to some degree) otherwise it becomes something different.

If you actually look at an Anatomy book you will see that the muscles than Feng Wei has REALLY EXIST. If you dont have them, doesnt mean nobody can lol :D

About the game

What's up?
  • aphex187
aphex187 Wow noway i'll be buying CoD Remaster anytime soon, just over 200 people were playing it on PC in the last 24 hours :/ Rest of the maps are coming including Winter crash :( (1 Hour ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog it's the reason why the PS pro can't exceed the targeted framerates of the base console, even if it is more capable. it would create unfair advantaged. hell, you could argue it does already (1 Hour ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog @crookedmind: higher framerates = more responsive controls. pitting someone with a 25-30 fps version of BF4 with someone with a 50-60 fps version of BF4 would be pretty unfair. (1 Hour ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts @Tiz: I only played the Campaign in the Gears games, so can't say anything about Multiplayer. But Campaign wise, I stand by my previous comments. (3 Hours ago)
  • Tiz
Tiz Judgement wasn't all bad though. Overrun is better than Horde and I wished if there was one thing the Coalition kept from Judgement, it was that. Instead of treating it like a horrid bastard child. (4 Hours ago)
  • Tiz
Tiz @Sdarts: Judgement changed too much. Stim grenades that gave you double life in gun fights wat? Ink downed you in a second? Verticality in Gears maps? Jumping off rooftops? (4 Hours ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts @Tiz: Gears of War: Judgement was a refinement of the Gears 3 formula, and was a great game in its own right. (6 Hours ago)
