Bizarre Creations and SEGA activate the hype machine for their action game The Club before it clogs. Remember that it will launch in February 2008 for the american market after the announced delay a couple of days ago (it was scheduled to be launched late 2007). Inside, images from the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 builds.

Im glad to see that the graphics have gotten better, and the fact that this is a fast-action-in-and-out-play-for-15-mins type of game it really is refreshing in a old-school kinda way...if that makes any sense?

The Devs got humor (or maybe it's lack of ideas): Big headphones around the neck and a gun in his hand just looks awkward. And that quite a bumpmap overkill on that ship. Sometimes less is more than enough...

Looks nice, but yet the characters seem odd, they look like they do not beong in that world

This could be a sleeper hit, or it could fail miserable. I think Bizarre is a great developer and I still have faith in The Club. I just have no idea yet.

I would really just wish for someone to tell me straight to the face how it plays.

  • Melmoth
Melmoth @HR2: a lot of studios used modified UE3, games like Arkham Knight, XCom2, both being very problematic on pc. Interesting to see what those studios will do for their next games. (15 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX @HR2: Ubisoft uses their own engines. They have like.. three solid in house game engines. (15 minutes ago)
  • HR2
HR2 @Melmoth: agreed. speaking of Ubisoft, I wonder which engine they're using for the next Splinter Cell. a heavily modified UE3 like Batman AK or UE4? (24 minutes ago)
  • Melmoth
Melmoth yea, Bloodborne seemed to be the right time (new gen hardware) for such effects. like the parallax occlusion mapping on most surfaces. (29 minutes ago)
  • Melmoth
Melmoth watchdogs was first shown 18 months before the X1 and PS4 release, and a year before the hardware reveal. They predicted what the nextgen capabilities would be, but overshot it. (33 minutes ago)
