The faces look really good in sequences and they got some nice effects going on during battle.
Overall it’s looking alright and I can’t wait to play it.

This is really looking good so far. Battle system looks interesting. I love the fact that it's a jrpg that's actually rated M with some blood effects. Much better than slashing an enemy with your sword and not seeing anything happen.

Hope the story and framerate hold up well. And please, can we leave out the UE3 comments for once guys?!?

interested to see how it turns out.... hoping for the best

Looks pretty decent so far.
My only real concern is if they've dumbed it down so to speak, so it's more accessible to the western market than most JRPG's.

And why would you explore the battlescreen?
For someone that said he is not into JRPGs, if I remember right, I read an awful lot from you about them…

... he's trying to be sarcastic ... we all know how great that game would look for him if it was an exclusive for PS3 ;)

Looks okay. May pick it up on the PC. Maybe. I'll wait for reviews to see if the PC port carries over any slowdown/glitches present in the console versions and whether the game is any good or is just another generic RPG.

I want to believe these are women but knowing this company I doubt that.

im not into them, in the sense that i dont actively try to play every JRPG out there and its my fave genre in the whole wide world...but i play them. so i think i should be able to talk about them.

as for the fanboy comment. how does that work exactly, its a multiplatform title. and it looks boring as sin on both. i mean, choices choices, endless sea of green? or endless sea of brown?...maybe you'll get lucky and get to play on the endless sea of green AND brown. seriously, the game looks about as uninteresting as they come. you'd have to have incredibly low standards or be completely desperate for a JRPGto like the look of this...so which one is it guys and gals?

And I'd imagine one would have to be pretty ignorant to judge a game based on just a few screenshots and the small amount of media and information that's been released so far on this game...

Kind of obvious those are males. On second thought, about 80% sure they are males.

This game looks better and better the more i see and hear about it and i'm not really a jrpg fan.

Too bad it’s not to your liking… but I’m not you so I don’t give a fuck.
The battle screens are not the prettiest so what? - That doesn’t make the game imminently bad.
The towns and fields got details. Sure they are still not as pretty as e.g. Crysis but they reached a level I can live with because I’m playing these games for other reasons like game play, story, characters and even music too.
And the look is also influenced by the design whether this is to your liking or not depends on your taste.

Bitching about the game including generic elements is pointless. Of course it has generic elements otherwise it would have become something new and no jRPG.

What's up?
  • digi_matrix
digi_matrix Paranormal Activity was insane, totally deserves being the most profiting indie film ever made. I saw the original version, not the theatrical one. WAY BETTER! (5 Hours ago)
  • SimonM7
SimonM7 Nope, no such prestige I'm afraid. Just 1½ year of comic making and ICQ channel community on quakenet of all places. :) 2002 doesn't sound far back but it's soon 8 years ago. Time sure does roar past. (11 Hours ago)
  • Megido
Megido Did you make comics and stuff for kong back in the day? The art looks similar :) (12 Hours ago)
  • SimonM7

  • SimonM7
SimonM7 Thanks :D and yeah I do. M7 was originally a webcomic, and the idea now is to make it a bit of an entertainment blog in general and a webcomic. Only done two strips so far since I rebooted it in may. (13 Hours ago)
  • alimokrane
alimokrane @SimonM7: Dude That's amazing. Do u draw that stuff ?? (14 Hours ago)
