Images of Turning Point

After the downfall of the british over the hands of the nazis and a full scale attack on the american territory in 1953, Turning Point: Fall of Liberty for the PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 offers an original story that is sure to gather some attention. New images of this FPS after the jump.

I'm not sure, but it sounds like you're trying to be sarcastic. I find it hard to believe that the words original and nazi can co-exist in the same sentence to describe this FPS. Not to say this game will be bad. Anyways, I swear I've seen a movie a while back that was also set in an alternate reality where the question was, "What if Nazi Germany won?".

if they've fixed the crazy inconsistant texture load-in and given us more option in terms of the look sensitivity (demo had medium which was too slow and high which was twitchy as hell) then i'll probably pick it up, it has a very cool premis, and overall opening sequence from the demo game me some serious bioshock vibes in terms of its overall atmosphere and style.

if however they have not changed anything since the demo, then they can go to hell.

There was no sarcasm in this news, just an explanation of the game plot. It's original, especially since 90% of FPS games involving nazis have them crushed under your boot in Germany and Europe. This is a real change of pace, and more like Freedom Fighters (soviets instead of nazis), which is an underrated and awesome game.

yes kudgel, but based on the demo Turning Point is nowwhere near the quality of Freedom Fighters.

I'm not sure, but are these screens slightly better looking than the last batch? Seems the developer has a few graphical tricks up its sleeve like postprocessing that weren't in the demo. hmm...

Megido @GriftGFX: Id on't know. I didn't finish GTA5 but i felt like a LOT of the missions were complete throwaway garbage. The main story was mostly decent, but the rest? (9 minutes ago)

GriftGFX And right now there's a bit of a backlash against sandbox games in general. (24 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX There are plenty of examples of poor open world games, but there's also stuff like GTA5. I think it's a bit more nuanced than open world = bad is all. (26 minutes ago)
  • Megido
Megido @GriftGFX: I think you nailed it there though. "The best bits". Most open world sandbox games are filled with mediocrity and some good bits. (33 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX Yes.. that "build a world" part is where they design it. (1 Hour ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog @GriftGFX: except not many are. they build a world, and stick quests in it. that's why open world RPG's quests are typically so shallow. (1 Hour ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX There's no reason an open world can't be curated and designed. The best bits of every good sandbox are. (1 Hour ago)
