Images of Two Worlds

Images of Two Worlds

Better late than never, here are the images of Two Worlds released a couple of days ago from the Xbox 360 version. The games seems really be shaping up well, and the multiplayer versus mode is a great extra mode for an RPG.

Screens don't impress me at all, but the game might shape up nicely with time, and it might look better in motion, but my real complaint is;
Why are they trying to make this game look exactly like Oblivion, PLEASE DON'T!
I've seen enough of grassy hills, forests, knights, etc, etc...

Oblivion was great, but I'm really fed up of the enviroments in Oblivion, and if they're going to "copy, paste" them from Oblivion, I'll have to pass on this one..!

Yeah it seems Oblivion -.-

Engine looks pretty good, but old-school good (lack of next-gen effects). If it's Dead Rising-good in that it runs spectacularly then ok, but if it looks old and runs like crap then a big boo boo and a wannabe-stamp on their foreheads.

Did you honestly just say that?

Seriuously though, yes, after seeing the same tree's, dungeons, houses, people, over and over again, I'm kinda lookin forward to some fresh enviroments and settings...

Yeah I know, I must be out of my mind..! ;)

Those screens spell Oblivion all over it. Sorry but its true :(

Yeah, how dare they copy Oblivion's unique environments such as...forests...and lakes...and cities. Get some originality, Two Worlds people!

On a nicer note, it does look, very nice. Better than oblivion in detail anyway.

meh.. looks really 'grainy' and flat.
Commented on 2006-10-14 04:22:25
Looks like Oblivion...with bamboo.
Commented on 2006-10-14 05:10:27
wow you guys are beeing lame....

So now not only is every open area game a GTA clone...

but every large expansive outdoor area with beautiful scenery and knights is a oblivion clone?

I mean give it a break guys, the midevil times were wicked and are a great spot for games to develop

What would you rather them do fake it and put paved roads and high rise buildings and roads and cars instead of horses... opps wait no then it will end up being a gta clone because its free roaming modern.....

wow i guess the other companys should all close down and leave it strictly to oblivion and gta since they own the markets

I haven't even finished Oblivion yet. Why would I buy another gigantic quest game.
Commented on 2006-10-14 07:44:23
I'm thinking this is the poor mans Oblivion. The game looks broke.
Commented on 2006-10-14 08:45:38
If I could pick between two worlds and oblivion I would pick two worlds for sure.
The graphic looks much better, the game looks more fun to play.
Oblivion is in my eyes an overrated game.

It's not oblivion people. Crikey.

It's speedtree.

Both games look similar because both games use the same middleware to render the trees/grass.

The textures look very crunchy and very sharp, I like that. But the distance-water still looks bad, hope they fix that.
Commented on 2006-10-14 11:47:40
those crisp textures screams next-gen :) that is how i like it. but i wanna se some gameplay first, untill i make up my mind about this game
Commented on 2006-10-14 12:27:57
yeah the graphics looks great, but the water SUX :)

oblivion ruled so im gonna keep an eye out for this.

Some of it looks a bit generic.
Commented on 2006-10-14 14:24:32
It does look better than oblivion, and once this game as smooth framerate is should be a blast.

Actually they dont use Speedtree

As for the vegetation, we have developed our own generators. Their quality equals the best solutions on the market, and are more flexible and open-ended for improvements.
