Incoming second Assassin's Creed 2 DLC

Incoming second Assassin's Creed 2 DLC

After a very disappointing - understatement - first DLC, Ubisoft is about to release Bonfire of the Vanities, the last extension of Assassin's Creed 2. This second DLC will allow the player to discover a whole area of Florence that was locked in the original game, which some of you will certainly find very convenient. Will it be worth the price this time? Well, I guess we will find out soon enough as it is planned for release on February 18.

It's so nice to know that both DLCs are included in the PC release without additional cost. :)

I'll wait until they are sold together at lower cost. Too many good games to play the coming weeks.

No it's not on the disc. It's a ~1GB download.

I finished the first DLC in about an hour. I was not happy.

I really wish parts of games were't cut out so they can be added as DLC. Yes I know it makes them money but AC is a game I love but I can't afford to pay ontop of the £40 I paid for the game, to play cut out chapters lol. Just a shame really.. I guess ill watch video's of it instead :P

Do you really think you'd see this content in the game if DLC didn't exist?

I very much doubt it. Most developers legitimately want to make new content, and often plan what they'd like to do far in advance. Especially for popular titles like AC2. Time and money restrictions often mean that alot of concepts are cut from games. With DLC, development of these concepts can continue, post-release.

So it's to unlock content that was already on the disc?
Thanks for convincing me never to touch this POS
The developers really know how to put the Ass in AssCreed

@Diftwood:

I think he is just being sarcastic.

At least I hope he is...

About the game

What's up?

Tiz I can give them time. It took Guerilla 17 years and how many Killzone games before finding their feet with Horizon: ZD. (6 minutes ago)

Tiz @Sdarts: I like seeing all companies succeed, and where MS are concerned, my eyes are on them and Playground Games. (7 minutes ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts Yeah, I was all-in on PS1 and 2 back then. But I never hated them. And now I miss what they represented to the gaming business. I will never forget that. (9 minutes ago)
  • Tiz
Tiz @Sdarts: Dreamcast was the last time I ever fanboyed for a company, but 1st party titles were the least of their worries. (11 minutes ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts Though I still want Microsoft and Xbox to succeed. I still remember when we lost Sega. Think of the Mega Drive/Genesis, Saturn, Dreamcast. I would hate to see Xbox go away. (13 minutes ago)
  • Tiz
Tiz @Sdarts: Not a situation I see happening with MS ever. But they are starting very slowly. Joseph Staten former front man to Bungie is very passionate about Recore. (14 minutes ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts @Tiz: Yes, they depend a lot on PlayStation, almost entirely so. They either succeed or they die. Same with Nintendo for games. Xbox, I suspect, is like 5% of Microsoft's business. (15 minutes ago)
