Page 1 2 >>So far I am super impressed.
Also, what is with every game copying Dead Space's aliens for enemies lately? The enemies in the beginning are damn near identical to Dead Space. So are the new Red Faction game enemies, Gears 3, and Prototype.
Damn, that was pretty impressive. I never even bought the first game (thought the demo was terrible). I'm just curious how much of that was scripted that way, and how much actual choice the player has in how that plays out. It looked a lot like something out of UC2. If they can pull off that kind of intensity in an open world, unscripted environment, I will be extremely impressed.

Visuals are excellent as well. The animations are still pretty shit though. Running animations are improved quite a bit but the movements still look a bit silly and awkward...
That looked pretty damn awesome! I love how you can grind on the powerlines and then jump off and hoover for a while.
Just watching this video makes me wanna take the first game for another whirl, and I've got 100% in it already. :O
Sure, you have some special powers but even in Crackdown you can use cars altough your agent becomes highly overpowered later.
So, can you drive vehicles now or not? I remembered the first game where you had a huge city bun non-driveable cars etc. ^^

I mean effectively the new things in this video are his wall grinds and the tornado thing. Oh and the rod he beats people up with. The other powers and abilities are already in the first game.
I'm starting to think the demo for the first game was absolutely terrible, because this is a lot like the first game and people seem unaware of that. :O

i loved the demo tho. it was really long (close to an hour if you play about a bit) and i played it about 15 times. gave you a pretty good idea of all the mechanics too.

You think this looks terrible? Is that what I'm reading? How does this look at all like the 1st games demo lol. Those are a lot of new abilities and it doesn't even show his new ice powers... what exactly were you hoping for in a 3 minute gameplay vid?
same thing happened with uncharted 2 tho.
Though part of me thinks the the new black'n'white color palette was chosen to make it fit in better with the particular style of Deferred Shading chosen for their renderer.
But then there's the issue apart from that that he looks a bit too pretty. He's not just a stark contrast to old Cole, he's a stark contrast to the outcast super hero he is. It's commendable to face every day with product in your hair I suppose, but when you're mainly gonna get shot at by helicopters, getting all fancypants with your appearance is really just evidence of an ego-centric douchebag.
