James Bond: QoS PC demo released

James Bond: QoS PC demo released

Activision yesterday released a PC demo of James Bond: Quantum of Solace , and Ve3tro of our forums sent us a bunch of nice images from the game. I've read both positive and negative impressions of the demo, specially the graphics have been widely discussed so I can't wait to try out a console demo myself.

A big thanks, of course, to Ve3tro for these images!

The demo was pretty short but it looks very promising, including the grafix and gameplay.

Lol, I had the same thought when I took it. Also the settings taken was everything on high with AAx4 and Shadows on. Resolution was 1280x768.

Hope the demo are coming to Xbox 360 and PS3, and also hope the demo will be longer!

REALLY short demo... the only thing i didn't like was the lack of mouse smoothing. other than that, i have nothing bad to say about it. i look forward to it. it looks good, plays good and feels good

The demo is like 5 minutes long. The graphics are below par. They use the COD4 engine, but it doesn't come near to COD4 quality (and that on PC with everything maxed out). The mouse smoothing is just off on the PC-version. And then there is a frustrating thing about the cover mechanics. It's a bit hard to explain, but I will give it a try. When you are behind cover in third person view, you can't move Bond, so what you have to do is aim the crosshair in advance while Bond is in a static state. Then when you click to shoot after aiming, bond begins to move (stretching his arm out), which takes a half of a second and then the gun fires. So there is a delay between pushing the fire button and actually firing. By that time the enemy has already moved again, which results in missing your target. In first person view, there is no problem, but then it becomes difficult because the gameplay is based upon taking cover.
