This looks so good. So real and gritty. Love it.

it's amazing how a colour pallet and some trickery can have it looking so realistic. Underneth it probably looks as adverage as hell. They've done well.

I just hope it controls alot better than the first. I know they've gone the more action rout this time, removing all the tactical elements..which is abit of a shame, but they were broken in the first so..

Any mention of saving replays? I think this style would suit it perfectly.

It's a shame I can't find any games for the first one. No one plays it on Xbox Live...

Looks very cool indeed.

It just shows that proper presentation + good fx > high res textures and resolution. Devs need to get this in their thick skull and focus more on eye trickery to compensate for todays hardware limitations...

Let's hope this time no Gamespot reviewer gets fired for giving its real opinion on K&L :P

This is the second multiplayer mode revealed for this game, and I have to admit, that multiplayer on this game is going to be batshit insane!

The idea of co-op is always cool, but this style of "vs. co-op", now that's crazy. Should make for some of the best multiplayer ever. I can't wait.

You'd have thought Killzone 2 would have taught them that...

exactly, post processing effects makes games go from good to amazing looking imo. metro 2033 has some great texture work, but the animation, particle effects and general atmosphere are kinda lacking. high res textures are all well and good, but if the general presentation isnt up to scratch it means precicely nothing as far as visuals go. sony seem to understand this, most other devs dont....yet.

There are other examples around, but too few that do a proper job...

Actually I don't like the look of the game simply b/c I really get turned off by washed out colors and a lack of deep blacks. It just looks so pastel... I know it's the style they are going for and it's a neat trick, but for my personal taste it just doesn't work.

I didn't like the first one, and this is the first I've paid attention to on the second- but this looks amazing.

I like it, the filters are great. It has a Digital-Camera-look that has never been done before in video games as far as I now.

no it isnt. CCTV is more surveillance camera then digital hand-cam. kane and lynch is definately more hand cam then CCTV. manhunt did CCTV tho, really well i might add.

not the surveillance camera-footage, I mean the 3rd-person footage with the over-the-top lensflares, film grain, shaky hand cam etc.

I AM afraid of it having so much movement it's hard to tell what's going on. Thank the Lord I don't get motion sickness. Also, the "fuzzy" screen might get annoying if they do it too much( think Conviction's black and white filter-grrr). I really like the Lens effects( one of the big KZ2 contributers), they really ground the graphics. The atmosperics are top-notch too. Feels real...

About the game

What's up?
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX Granted.. pretty quick impressions. But even if the second area is a better stealth game.. I can't shake the feeling that Far Cry did a lot of the same things better. (1 Hour ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX Wildlands doesn't really appear to benefit much for its open world. It's huge and it's gorgeous but the poor driving and lack of interesting attractions do all of that space no favors. (1 Hour ago)
  • Moonwalker
Moonwalker As for Wildlands, this guy explains perfectly what is wrong with it and I agree. [url] (1 Hour ago)
  • AndreasZ94
AndreasZ94 Im trying to think what recent open world game gave you more big mechanics after halfway through (2 Hours ago)
  • AndreasZ94
AndreasZ94 Its not necessarily adding more of them but spreading them out better. (2 Hours ago)
  • Moonwalker
Moonwalker will explore through and through. In most games it's just not worth it at all. (2 Hours ago)
  • AndreasZ94
AndreasZ94 With Zelda for example the amount of system /mechanics is staggering but if you dont get any new one after halfway through the game then its a problem. Not saying that the case for Botw (2 Hours ago)
