I ADORE the style of this game. The video game world needs more creative style in shooters. I really really hope this is good.

Wow...I think I was maybe watching a completely different trailer than everyone else. I really don't see the draw to this at all.

I agree.
In fact making it look like some amateur cameraman is following them with a camcorder is too subjective, as if there is a 3rd person there.
Not only that but I'm not entirely sure where the gameplay was.

Because of the first, I'm skeptical about this one. I think it would be wise on their part to release some actual gameplay walk thru's or mode break down videos just to let those who are on the fence get some reassurance.

Wow, this actually might be worth picking up

Love the trailer. Interesting news: Jamie Fox is going to play Lynch in the upcoming movie Kane and Lynch.

Seems very intense, and a lot better then the first game.

looks really good. not visually of course, but i love the look of it. with the pixilated nudity and general grimyness of the world. and man, you gotta love the sound of that automatic pistol lynch shoots. sounds beefy as hell.

i think the important question here is.. what happened the Kanes bald spot?

Only played the demo of the first one don't remember much about it, maybe I should give it another chance as I can't recall why I decided it was crap, maybe its all the cheesy forced machismo and trying much too hard to be "badass" or maybe it played like shit.

Hmmm, must go and DL the demo and refresh memory...

Ah-mazing. Loved the first game, and can only love this even more.

Great trailer, and cool to see Kane pulling my suitcase :)

Seems a definite improvement on the original :)

Tired the demo for the first and it was terrible in terms of gameplay, really awkward and amateurish. If the sequel completely revamps the pissweak cover and aiming system I may give it a look though.

Does not look like they have improved much from this first trailer but you never know, the addition of a shakey cam effect certainly does not equal any kind of enhancement in my book.

I like the style, and to me that's more important than the technical aspects like super high res textures, etc. It feels fresh compared to other games, to me.

It's the same with music and movies... not everybody likes everything, but to my sensibilities, I like the feel of this one. It's raw and gritty. A lot of games TRY to be gritty, but they just aren't. We'll have to see how the game itself turns out.

Yea, I just couldn't get into the first one because it just played really badly. But you certainly can't tell if they've this by the trailer alone. The devs have already been quote vocal on "fixing" the game.

About the game

What's up?
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX And they have their own stories to tell, their own games to design. If they're making a new film in a franchise you enjoy, do you also not care who makes it? (20 minutes ago)
  • MrWhite
MrWhite Yeah, I wouldn't want Naughty Dog anywhere near Half Life. They'd turn it into a generic and linear run of the mill action shooter that looks good, but overrated. (22 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX It's not like those people working on this imaginary game aren't working on other real games instead anyway. Nothing is lost. (33 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX And I don't prefer to have "nothing" because I bother to recognize Valve's actual game development. (33 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX "I don't care who develops it" is a really weird thing for a person who cares about games to say. (34 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX But I understand that thought process in today's highly branded market. Gotta have that franchise name attached to a product to care about it. (35 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX @Sdarts: No, I prefer creators keep their content to themselves instead of farming it out to third parties because it's a terrible way to make video games. (35 minutes ago)
