Our friend Bikoko sent me the now rather old demo of Lost Odyssey that was bundled with Famitsu Weekly a few months ago. While waiting for the videos tomorrow, here some images showing a bit what happens after what we saw during the Tokyo Games Show press conference.

they need to improve the ground textures n the capital of uhra's textures n lighting. other than that it looks fantastic

Remember this is the build of September 2006 and the game has still a long way to go and iot looked this impressive ;) I am sure the game will blow the competition away.

For an early build this looks amazing. The detail already in the characters and the art direction is making me really look forward to this.

The graphics can look like hell for all I care. I'm most excited about the game because Sakaguchi is behind it. After he left Square, the FF series lost its heart, so I'm looking forward to this and Cry On especially.

Graphic looks great, OK, Sakaguchi is a Phenomen, ok, but to say, that Final Fantasy lost its heart , sorry , this is nonsens... FF XII is new way to JRPG world, FF XIII look HELL good.... and for exmple most wanted Famitsu is FF XIII, Lost Odyssey is the number 6 i think... and how could FF lost his heart and to have 40/40 in FAMITSU???

actually the new final fantasy was horrible. After about 6 or 7 hours with it, i just got bored with it. Im playing enchant arm on my 360 now and im enjoying that way more.

this look amazing. very sharp normal maps too....FINALLY.

some of the jaggiez are a bit much in some areas though. other than that, this looks really good.

the graphics is undenyingly beatiful, but im afraid the gameplay is not exactly to my liking. I hope it will be more realtimecombat than the turnbased stuff they showed at tgs. Still, I hope for the best as I would really love to see this game running on my box.

id like turnbased but maybe with some button interaction. Like in ff8 where if you press r at the right time it shot the gunblade. But like more of them, so you do a button combination for higher hit points. I dont see anything wrong with turn based rpgs, for instance ff7 was genius ff12 was horrible, The only difference for me was I hated the new battle system.
