LOTR War in the North explains itself

The developers of Snowblind tell us a bit more about The Lord of the Rings: War in the North, which will give you another chance to dive into the world imagined by Tolkien and be a part of it.

Agandaur, the game's antagonist, definitely looks like something Tolkien would imagine. Very impressed with how they're handling the lore - which, as a Tolkienite, is very important.

Hopefully we'll get more gameplay videos soon.

LOTR movies are my top favorite, period!

But when it comes to games, all of them have failed, IMO, I hope this one is THE LOTR us fans has waited for.

The only question I got really is if we can customize your appearence, outfits, equipment...if thats the case, damn nice.

With Dragon Age 2 coming out I really hope this one delivers.

But the game seems to be quite far off, so I hope they make it good and take their time considering 2011 is filled with awesome games there is no rush.

Is it a button masher? God I'd love something like this with RPG elements, had a lot of fun playing the old Xbox game co-op.

Not exactly; it's as much an RPG as it is an action game, as opposed to those old Xbox games - which I absolutely loved by the way.

Think Diablo/Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance, except with a closer camera perspective and more elaborate combat moves.

  • Melmoth
Melmoth i don't many people actually read the reviews, they just look at that number in the bottom right corner :D (4 Hours ago)
  • asdfg
asdfg @alimokrane: every gamer reads reviews? That must be why it's going so well for video game media... (4 Hours ago)

  • KORNdog
KORNdog sometimes i like to know how long a game is too to gauge the value proposition, but that's easily obtainable information that does not require a review. (12 Hours ago)
