Can't wait for some good gameplay footage :)
The reason it's entitled 'A Council of the North' is because that refers to a small group of selected members on their website who get special access to exclusive content - I happen to be one of these members! - as well as being able to interact directly with the developers. This trailer was meant to be just for them, but I guess they decided to release it publicly for some reason?
Anyway, looks promising.
The last LOTR game that came out, I followed for a year, and dreamed of when back in 2005. It turned out to be LOTR Conquest: the game that I can't even sell because it's worth about five pence, and the game that disappointed me so much I went off LOTR for quite a while.
I'm going to wait for a review for it before I even think of buying it. That said, it looks quite good.
