But I´m quite sure that someone will come around and tell that it looks like crap because it´s from EA and running on 360...(please excuse that little sarcasm!)

That texture work is mindblowing.

Fingers crossed they add grass shaders to the pitch and get those guys on the sideline to actually look at the play!

Wow, this is the first time I've heard positive reactions towards an EA game in the last year. Something must be happening. The play models looks alright, but I agree the texture work is great. The faces are great, just need to get the arms up to speed. The crowd is what bothers me the most. With the crowd from Bizzare, this just looks lame. You can see the african american with his arms up about 700 times (2nd shot) But all in all, I'd say I'm impressed for an EA game :D

Come on..... I want to see what this thing is going to look like on an actual 360. These screens are running at a resolution WAY beyond 720p. Those threads are nice, but 720p isn't good enough resolution to show them unless the camera is extremely close, like that crop, which isn't going to happen unless you are playing around in camera mode. What they need to do is spend more time on the things you CAN see, things are immediately noticable, the basics of what makes a realistic looking image in realtime 3D. They need to work on those eyes, as always, and if they can afford to get crazy with taxture detail like that, i'm sure they could have afforded to spend a few more polygons on those arms and such... something that is more immdediately noticable, and very noticable at any resolution. And the most immediately noticable detail of all would be the lighting. Lighting has more influence than everything else combined in convincing your eyes that this is a real object. They should be working on these things instead of sending out ultra hi resolution images showing us stitching that will hardly ever be seen at 720p clarity. After all, when you shrink these pictures down to the size that you would see them on your screen, those details certainly didn't come and strike you in the ass did they? On the brighter side, these do look better than what we've seen previously, but still nothing compared to what they showed us a few months ago....

That whole 512 mb stick of memory really helps improve the textures more than ten-fold over last-gen.

Too bad the animations still suck.

Well the first 2 pics are 1280 x 720 which is in fact 720p, so your argument holds no water. If these are the latest in game images, then that's how it looks. The 2 crops were made by snoopers to highlight some details.

Those images were resized down from a much higher resolution version. The 720p images represent a smaller version of a very high resolution image. Not to mention, those lines are too clean for a direct 720p screen grab, even with 4xAA. They do look good, but the rest of my previous post still stands as well. They are just opinions

Developers can make grabs of HUGE resolutions from a devkit for print media, which needs images of 200dpi+

Where does it say they're downsized images though? They are still 1280 x 720, so it's entirely possible they are screen grabs.

I think snoopers was only talking about the last two shots when he was mentioning doing the cropping.
