Bioware has released these three new images of Mass Effect 2. When playing the demo during the Gamescom, I was happy to see that, not only was the game as beautiful as ever, but its framerate was also very smooth, which now makes all the combat sequences much more enjoyable than before. 2010 seems so far away before we can join Commander Shepard in his new adventures. Kudos to OldSchoolGamer for pointing out the images.

I hope there will be some lush, nice outdoor environments as well... with vegetation and so. It's not anything wrong with the surroundings they've shown so far, but would be boring to play a whole game looking like that imo..

im still a bit skeptical of this one. the first one was good, but i dunno i think i expected more. i really love the exploration aspect of bioware games like the abundance of fantastic sidequest in KOTOR. this game had entire planets to roam but they all were pretty empty. overall, i really wasn't too fond of the exploration from the first game which kinda dissapointed me. maybe the second game will make up for it.

Yeah the uncharted planets sucked. But they have said they made a lot of improvements to make them a lot more interesting.

There were a few of them that had interesting nothings in them. Like the one planet with the ape like creatures. I think there was a shrine or something. When activated it gave you a little bit of text that kinda linked that planets beginnings to earth, just to make you think. That's what I vaguely remember anyway.

More little stuff like that would be great. Obviously, more randomly encountered side missions that pop up while exploring these planets would be cool too.

Anyway, pics look great, can't wait.

Yep, only real downfall was that it could be so much more. Yet, I loved all the sense of exploration of alien worlds. Never had that kind of experience in a game, just stats and shit in other 4X Games.

this game just seems to look better and better...if there was ever a game MS needed out this christmas to make people forget about UC2, KZ2, ps3 price drops... this would be it.

Shame they're 2 months out... as it really cant come soon enough

Love them all, especially the 2nd picture.

IGN has chosen this game as Best of E3 and GamesCon above all the biggies for this year and the next and I can see why. When you put one of the best mixtures of storytelling and action together and improve it in virtually every single way, you're poised to create a Masterpiece.

Mostly technical issues were what prevented ME1 to be one, but they seem to have gotten rid of them all and improved the strong points of the game. As a result, I expect ME2 to be a serious GOTY contented for 2010.

The suit in the second picture looks retarded, it looks like Shepard has some kind of speaker on his back or maybe a landmine dispenser.

If they fix the inventory system and make other planets work exploring this game might be worth a purchase. How about also making the game an RPG and not just a shooter with upgrades? That would be nice.

It looks beautiful but I'm worried it's going too much down the action/shooter route. The 360 is already clogged with far too many boring shooters, but not enough good RPGs. I'd sooner they had fixed Mass Effect 1's combat instead by making it turn based.

holy crap this one looks twice as good as the last one graphics wise lol i didnt think my 360 could run much more... well... i couldnt... it died... but beside that! looks freakin awesommeee ME1 was my favorite game of all time.. then Zelda:OOT then Goldeneye...

... maybe theyll do a better job with their "DLC" and not release it like 2 years after the game is out and have it be like an hour long..... way to fail... lol
