The party for the 20th anniversary of the Metal Gear series is now done and Konami released the very small images of Metal Gear Solid 4 on their website. It looks like it's from the actual game this time, but it's difficult to say anything considering how small these images are.

In what universe? Like with many PS3 games (White Knight Story, Heavenly Sword, Lair etc.), the pics don't do any justice to the graphics of MGS4 in motion. It looks superb in motion (IGN has vids). Yes, some textures could be better but that's the same with every possible game. It's not the technically most impressive game ever, but what it lacks in that area is well made up with artistic design & execution.

And IMO this looks like nothing special....who cares it is Metal gear, it looks boring as hell. I sure hope that trailer is gonna change my mind though.

maybe should tell the devs there is a new invention out -> COLOURS :)

but seriously... nothing special. lowres textures, medium polycount (somehow a pattern with ps3 games as it seems - of course i could be wrong)... but maybe the gameplay rocks? i never got what`s so great about mgs (aside from the nice cutscenes)

so far so meh. :o/

I think it looks great personally. I actually think the textures look extremely good from an artistic point of view. They seem to be high res to me...

Now this was a joke before, but what is Snake's problem in MGS4?

Barrel rolling looks so damn ridiculous...

The game looks incredible graphically to me I'm impressed.

Okay... that stealth thing looks stupid beyond all belief... the way he just stays there on the floor not being noticed. Its beyond stupid and the way he moves on the ground I don't like the look of that.. the gameplay doesn't look too good so far...

nvm retract my statement it was just those stealth parts that really left a bad impression on me I like the gameplay like classic mgs. Also to the people that said low res textures... no way... They may not be as intense as something you see in gears of war or stand out as much, but all of textures are very much high res and its consistent.

Moment I saw someone get shot it just totally clicked for me :)
