Konami has officially announced Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, an HD reworking of Metal Gear Solid 2, 3 and Peace Walker. It will release in November 2011 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Best MGS? More like a deformed, retarded child that should be kept in the closet and never shown or mentioned. Yes, I have this game. And yes, I keep it hidden. Got at least few ps1 version "on display" though.

Why do most people assume that xbox owners dont own or never have owned a ps2?
konami stated years ago when S3 was released that it was not comming to xbox because it was a follow on from the original PS1 version and xbox owners have not played the original... never understood this mentality.
I understand why people would not buy them again, but you dont have to buy it do you? and itsnot like they going to redo it and give it away for free.

yes, yes it did. i couldnt even complete the damn thing. i mean, sure, the franchise is OTT at the best of times, but when i saw snake surf a rocket launched by a hind helicopter, i first burst out laughing and then looked on in disgust at what silicone knights had done to my beloved MGS. PSone version is better imo. by a very VERY large margin.

LOL, WTF? since when was MGS a playstation brand? it's been on practically everything, MSX, NES, PSone, gameplay colour, iphone, PS3, PS2, xbox, GC, PC, PSP, soon to be 3DS. to say that was a famous "playstation" game would be retarded. it's been on everything, it only makes sense that these are multiplat. hell, i'm shocked MGS4 hasnt made it to the 360. third party devs doing exclusives will become a thing of the past. and rightly so. leave the exclusives to the first party console manufacturer owned studio's.

I agree in the case of Ico/SOTC collection it's better to play on emulator, but MGS3 is impossible to play in HD. The latest version of PCSX2 still can't render the textures properly unless you play in the game's native resolution.
So this collection is actually decent, especially because the inclusion of Peace Walker, which I couldn't finish because of the PSP's shitty controls (and frankly the story was kinda lame too).
Also lol at the fact Xbox 360 gets this first. MS is a sneaky one.
This is good news, even if it's just for the MGS2 and ZOE2. And the TRANFARRING is very welcome to console "family". Also, TTS sucked. I'm sorry, but that game ruined what MGS pretty much had established as a game and as a storytelling medium.
