More commercials on video-games

More commercials on video-games

EA is having a partnership with 55DSL, a streetwear company. As a result, we will get an episode of the NFS series (Carbon) with characters weared by the sigle, more than that, we will have matched customizations for the cars. Well, the commercials are getting more and more into the video-games market, but without dropping the media price...

Now after totally pimping out your cool ride in the ghetto you can walk down to walmart and pimp out yourself then show all your friends that you look just like your tricked out ride in EA's NFS: Carbon. That's such a great idea.

I used to just reply with the simple

but honestly they are stepping it up in almost every game other than....madden and this piece of crap we call need for speed..

Man, those people alongside the cg looks really weird.

I like that t-shirt in the first pic, i might even ahve considered buying it if it had a bit longer sleeves.

It's not as if in-game advertising hasn't been in EA games from the start anyway. What about all the brands of car parts in NFS:UG, or the vinyls of the company logos, it's nothing terribly new for EA.

The first picture reminded me some sort of american/pop idol contest lol

Meh, after loving need for speed most wanted..i have high hopes for this game.. I felt that game was perfect in the story department..just lacked the huge customization feature of need for speed underground.

The game looks good so far, i just hope it isn't night only...

These games keep getting more casual every year. Case and point, my ex girl friend loves playing them. =\

- Any NFS game prior to underground 1 and 2: ace!

- underground 1 and 2: horrible pimp my ride crap, based on the fast and the furious hype!

- most wanted: a promising return to what made NFS so great in the first place..

- carbon: meh... less emphasis on the cops, they took out daylight.. AGAIN! and now streetwear cars and vague pics of people wearing them in a racing game?!?

Seriously.. the either need to stop with the NFS franchise alltogether, or get the finger out and go back to what made NFS so great... hell, i expected MW 2, but with better online, and the abillity to actually be a cop, online as well...

But no no... EA had to take a few steps.. and make it underground 3.

Good job EA blackbox... keep this up!

Oh, and all of the NFS games since the first underground are all running on the underground engine...

because they need it to sell the game on the xbox and the PS2 as well...
Creating a new engine for the next gen machines? nope... EA can't be bothered taking time for stuff like that...
they will never learn, it's just about the money anyway.. screw the NFS fans who have been waiting for hot pursuit 3, or high stakes 2, or unleashed 2, is what they must be thinking...

ok , $60 plus tax and you get ads , not worth it , looks like im gonna have enough for Gears Of War and HALO 3.

Sigh. I wish I were as pimp as those incredibly cool people.

I mean, only the ultra eliete put a cloathing brand on their car.

I just wish I could feel as amazingly fulfilled as those people are. They have everything. They have a fast, utterly exotic car *no one else has*. I have never seen such a car. And they have the originality to make it Look faster. Genius!. I bet they are also so awesome that they have made it louder too, so not only do they think it looks faster, but sounds faster! wow. How awesome they must feel. Fight the power! wear brand names and pose with the source of all your debt. You are just far too awesome for me.

[in otherwords]

Dammit EA. I want NFS porsche 2000, not this utter crap. Get some real 'respect'.

Offcourse it goes without dropping the media price, who else is gonna fill the deep pockets of all those EA executives?

Who btw probably never finished a videogame in their life..
