I read about some kind of show somewhere where they brought up one of the top Ninja Gaiden players in japan and watched on as he got his ass totally handed to him on the first level.

Only watched the streaming version, but doesn't look as good as i expected.

Pretty much a hi def Xbox game.

yeah but that was on a different mode, not the story mode i beleive..not enough in this to warrant the purchase for me, especially with NG2 coming soon

You haven't seen it running live on your HDTV either though. When you do, you'll see what I mean.

The reason it doesn't look as good to you is because your mind remembers the game more fondly and more attractive than it actually looked. It is definitely a huge improvement.

It looks excellent. Though I wouldn't buy that game for the third time if I had PS3.

it looks much better than any xbox game, but it does look like the NG xbox game...prettier, alot of the same design. I have the demo and the graphics are good enough, certainly nothing on HS, but very nice.

it was boring with a mean streak of a learning curve, badly made for new people to the genre and very off putting. GoW any day over this.

that u opinion and i respct that. but their are thousands who disagree with u and to some this game is regarded as the best in the genre

to me the learning curve is what i like, and other people who like this game, its the CHALLENGE that make NJ the best their is in the genre.

I think GoW is the best game of the big 3 tbh, but NG does have the best combat system.

i think u can't compare their comabt systems. they play differently. NJ has variety of weapons , gow is limited to one most of the time(atleast the 1st one). NJ is fast paste game compared to GOW. also gow is presented in movie like fashion when executing the final move

It has a better story, artistic design, level design, puzzles, music, atmosphere, pretty much everything better than NG other than graphics (though GoW looks damn incredible for a PS2 game) and combat.

DMC gets no love. Weapon switching was a great gameplay aspect, and i wouldnt be surprised if NG 2 used it as well. GoW 2 kinda uses it too now.

I agree 100% both GoW were truly epic master pieces. NG is great for it's action and combos.

I want this game. :)
