Are those "E3 images" supposed to be in-game shots?

there are jaggies and visible polygons all over them, photomode shots no doubt.

edit : oh, and i can't wait...lol. heard you'll be racing down the side of a falling skyscraper in one track. sounds crazy as hell.

Too much clean to be, compared to the mess that was MS2 Image quality.

Wait for e3 footage, i'll bet there will be plenty.

it is quite split-second, but from the previews, the devs arnt going for any cheap resets for the buildings. once a building falls. it's down for the entire career mode...of which there are 3...all with "story lines"

the warring factions in the city sounds cool too, with gangs fighting each other for "turf" and shooing at you for the hell of it on foot and in heli's.

if this goes to plan it could be cranking the intensity up to 11...in which case i'll probably have a stroke.

unknown, they've only demo'd one track. and talked about the opening to the game (normandy beach landing style race to the city) the city is fictional so there is a possibility there could be a central park like track. or the outskirts of the city could be anything from desert to woodland. who knows.

Actually last year during E3 Evo/Liverpool studios saw split/second and went straight back to the drawing board to change the way the game played especially the power plays, because originally is was pretty much split/second.

I don't see why those couldn't be in-game screens. Split/Second looks this good.
Because it has elements of Split/Second I'm interested. Before, I never liked Motorstorm. Don't know why, just didn't appeal to me.

Third time lucky maybe with the gameplay maybe? Previous iterations have been decent graphics, shoddy driving for me. Let's wait n see hey?

Well I'm worried for those same reasons, I hated the hell out of split second (dumbed down gameplay and AI ugh) and I really enjoy Motorstorm's wonky but uniquely challenging gameplay system. It's far from perfect but once it grows on you it gets pretty addictive IMO. But what I really enjoyed was the different elemental track types, but it all revolves around a more natural setting.

I'm just really worried all this concrete might fuck up the formula, not sure how they'll use all the fun physics with so much city street to burn? But maybe it's just one setting/track of the City and we will have other dirt tracks as well as this just doesn't seem like what Motorstorm does best.

Anyhow, I love this game's graphics engine and track designs so I'm still holding out hope this turns out as fun as the first two.

Some of the images kinda reminds me of Carmageddon a little bit

I really love Split/Second on PC and I liked the Motorstorm 2 demo. DO WANT!

This makes me really want a new Carmageddon for some reason

A new motorstorm game, YES :D But I wonder when will they release this ?

God, when I saw this I thought for a second it was actually called Motorstorm The Third. That would've made me commit suicide in some gruesome fashion.

I don't really like the sound of Split/Second-esque sensationalist bullshit in my racers because that gets old faster than Fatalities, but the city ruins things sounds interesting from a track characteristics standpoint and is pretty in line with their choices of environments in the past.

It's in harsh contrast to its in turn harsh naturalistic environments that were kinda the staple of the series previously, but I'm assuming they both wanted a more EXXXTREME looking thing for clicks and had genuine trouble figuring out where to take it next. Pacific Rift was utter genious, variety/consistent scenery wise, and barring making a PS3 version of the snowy Arctic Edge or setting it ON THE MOOOOON or something, "urban jungle" seems a good choice.

I hope they can still sprinkle it with vistas, I think that's a pretty important fingerprint of the series too. Those glimpses of beauty in these insanely perilous environments.
