MX vs ATV Alive may not be the most highly-anticipated title coming out in May, but since we got a copy of the game with THQ, we gave it a try. Not everything is perfect, far from it, and there are clearly flaws in the way it is designed (no careeer mode, no single player championship, few tracks - especially when you start the game and have to wait a few hours to unlock new ones). However, the gameplay turns out to be pretty interesting and the graphics are more than ok for a $40 title. Add to that the local and online multiplayer features, and you have a pretty decent title in the end. It is even probably the best choice in the genre, mainly because it is a lot more realistic than the likes of Pure and Nail'd. We have prepared a big bunch of videos so you can see what to expect, so enjoy!
it's the reason why the PS pro can't exceed the targeted framerates of the base console, even if it is more capable. it would create unfair advantaged. hell, you could argue it does already (0 minute ago)
@crookedmind: higher framerates = more responsive controls. pitting someone with a 25-30 fps version of BF4 with someone with a 50-60 fps version of BF4 would be pretty unfair. (2 minutes ago)
@Tiz: I only played the Campaign in the Gears games, so can't say anything about Multiplayer. But Campaign wise, I stand by my previous comments. (1 Hour ago)
Judgement wasn't all bad though. Overrun is better than Horde and I wished if there was one thing the Coalition kept from Judgement, it was that. Instead of treating it like a horrid bastard child. (2 Hours ago)
@Sdarts: Judgement changed too much. Stim grenades that gave you double life in gun fights wat? Ink downed you in a second? Verticality in Gears maps? Jumping off rooftops? (2 Hours ago)
@Tiz: Gears of War: Judgement was a refinement of the Gears 3 formula, and was a great game in its own right. (4 Hours ago)
@Phaethon360: I completely disagree with you. Gears 2 was shit, while Gears 3 was an excellent game. (4 Hours ago)
