Still the best cloth sim I've seen in a game. Nothing else comes close. And they've been doing it since 06...

You're right, but NBA players do not use baggy jerseys anymore, they use them tighter these days, and 2K Sports haven't done anything about that.

fine by me- looks impressive this way. I don't get why it isn't used more in games- it really makes a huge difference!...

I don't think we see it much because it's either pointless due to having few ways to show it off, or would be too resource hungry for the games which could show it off (like a third person shooter or something)

Basketball is kinda perfect for this sort of tech. Few players, small court, not much else going on, camera close enough in to warrent it. Now compare that to fifa...it'd be wasted/too power hungry. Too many players, too large of a pitch, camera too far out to notice.

The fight night games where also perfect for this sort of thing with the boxers shorts, and did it better imo.

Why it isn't in things like tekken etc is beyond me, but i'd assume it could have something to do with the outfit itself. I'm guessing collision is less complicated when it's uber baggy shorts and baggy jerseys. It still goes wrong quite a bit though.

Even if it bugs out now and then I'll take it. The game is still doing it for, what?- TEN guys simultaneously. And we aren't talking cloaks and loin cloths. they are doing shirts and shorts- at a very realistic level. If you've ever messed with cloth sim, you know how impressive it really is. They also have a massive animation set for the players too.

I never thought Fight Nights cloth sim ever came close( although the last 2 games were still decent). It's just like it is in their own(EAs) basket ball franchise...

Sdarts 200 hours on DA:O already, even though it's my 2nd time. So hopefully, by the time it gets released on PC my back catalogue is empty. No rush. (2 Hours ago)

Sdarts @Phaethon360: Last thing I read in the matter was the full interview on EuroGamer, which was heavily misinterpreted but most of the commenters. And yeah, the FAQ is mostly PR BS. (2 Hours ago)
  • Phaethon360
Phaethon360 The 5th is funnier. It assumes they only announced the game at Gamescom, when they revealed its existence at E3. They had months to let people know about it, but chose not to based on their answers. (2 Hours ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts The 4th question is interesting, and the only way its answer is true is if RotTR was going to have X budget, but because of Microsoft it will now have Y budget. Otherwise PR BS. (2 Hours ago)
  • Phaethon360
Phaethon360 @Sdarts: His latest comments were "We aren't just spending money to give our competition a better game". And he likened it to a "First party" title. Contradictory statements. (2 Hours ago)
