Exclusive DLC is to be frank, BS. It's a horrible way to treat your fans.

I kind of agree, it is really annoying.

They'll be charging extra on top of the $60 you're already paying for the game so yes, they'll be too expensive.

really hate this.. not enough that its a preorder scheme, but it's several different "bonus" missions spread across several store's preorder schemes. Hopes of getting the full game content will either set me back close to £70.. or mean i'll wait for the GOTY edition at a fraction of the price some 6-9 months later.

What was once going to be a day 1 purchase on good faith alone will now rest in the hands of the reviews for me as this sort of thing turns me off from rash buys.

Announcing dlc before the game is released is criminal should have been added into the game

there are far too many companies doing that now

Still cant wait to play though :)

Exclusive store DLC? NO THANKS. Its either wait for a GOTY edition or buy it cheap (used) and get the DLC later.

Honestly, this doesn't make me want to buy the game on day 1. These are actual MISSIONS and cases, not just some skin or armour.

Shitty business practice, no one should ever support this.

you're wrong, it'll be atleast 3 hours worth of gameplay (theres 3 seperate case missions offered to different stores) that will have been developed alongside the game..and unquestionably released on the disc had dlc not reached this abused milking point.

I think we all want to play the game.. we just dont like the idea of micro-transactions in order to get the full day1 experience...which seems to be where we're heading more and more with gaming....which wouldnt be so bad if they didnt still slap a £50rrp on the base of the game

But would they? I mean it's not like they make these pre-order bonuses for the hell of it. They clearly get some $$ to make them. And at this point, where pre-order bonuses are the norm, they almost certainly pre-plan exactly what content will be added. I guess with all this pre planning it's hard to know whether they are doing extra work to get make more content for these bonuses or just ripping content that would other wise be in the game. Either way it's pretty shitty, I guess.

If you're buying it normally, you completely miss out on this content. And, it's a bad practice that's spelling doom for single-player games.

But thats all because of how dlc is being used these days..rather than the original idea of extending a games lifespan months down the line to help fight against trading.

They'll ofcourse get some money to offer them to these preorder promotions, but this isnt just skin/weapons. This stuff would of been in developement from the the very start along with the rest of the game..you're looking at probably a year in advance (taking in account the design, development, acting ect)..odds are before anything was arranged as a store promotion.

It no doubt probably still wouldnt of been on the disc..planned to be released as dlc at an additional charge regardless. But again its another example of how dlc is being pushed on us these days..at the price of all of us never really getting the full contents on the disc like we would of say last gen.

Day 1 dlc, and dlc thats actually promoted before the main game is out, is not a welcome sight for me personally. But we're seeing it more.. just as we're seeing locked content in the menues of our games more too. Depressing..and only happens with gaming.

Do they even care about those who don't have their consoles hooked up to the internet anymore? Games are constantly coming out with bonus DLC, pre-order bonuses, and most worryingly, patches to fix game-breaking bugs that were missed during QA.

but how is it different to what mass effect 2 or shift 2 did?

it seems the norm now so why are people still shocked or surprised when it happens :S it will just be a bonus mission which has no effect on the main story
