Those pics showing the inside of the stadiums when they are closed look awesome. Also, Jerseys look good. I think they want us to forget those prior "Target vids"... gonna take a bit more work...

I think basicly theyve met the target in terms of character detail and texturing, but it's hard to get lighting to look as good as the radiocity seen in the cgi movie, add that with motion blur and the grass also.
I think it looks pretty darn good though, sure the lighting isnt CG quality and there's some aliasing issues, but overall I'm happy with how it's shaping up.

last pic looks amazing. is it just me or do the two guys in the fourth pic look like twins. they still need real grass like kameo or oblivion

looks cheap and cheesy to me.........But it will have to do saying that its the only NFL game on the market............I will expect the same game for madden 07.........watch they will just add franchise and buffer up the graphic just a little at a time they never give you the full power.............but who am i to complain.

still looks like a port but by 07 they should have that sorted out. Im getting this as a launch game i was also getting oblivion but they have delayed it

Those videos are just stunning

It look amazing in motion almost life like. Looks 10 times better than any current gen football sim. I like the turf. Not all stadiums have grass guys. If you watched football you would know this. The player joint movements look good. New play calling system look fun also. After watching that BK skip I was like WTF. Now Madden will have to join my 360 in my living room. The real time lighting looks cool. The sun moves to different parts of the field as time changes from mid-day to early evening. 3d crowds that respond with movement to what is happenening on the field. Sone ppl with continue to hate madden, but they will still sale millions of copies. I can't wait untill the NFL players get this and start playing on xbox live. Madden will be the best NFL game this year, because they are the only one making it LOL.

This game confuses me--how come some of these new shots feature AA and some DOF? Will the final game feature both, or a mixture of the two? For what it's worth, the shots they've released with horrid aliasing + DOF look 10x worse than the crisp AA shots w/o DOF...DOF is a fine effect but in some shots it's just looking..strange.

i think it looks okay, but i'm far from impressed. this is far from next-gen to me.

That first video showing the superbowl was just exciting. I found myself even wanting to see the next play, to see if they were gonna score lol. That was pretty sweet. (graphics are almost there, but it is just because of the target video, that we feel there could be a bit more done)

still not going to buy an EA game

man ill admit the players are where i want them to be graphically after watching the superbowl trailer. The only thing keeping them from reaching the target video quality is the lighting. And lighting in a football game is hard to do ill cut EA slack on that one ....maybe nex year. The stadiums look cool and the crowd (when in motion) looks ok i still wished for more crowd models but we cant win em all

I guess the NFL plays football in tall grass like Kameo and Oblivion. Stop the EA hate. EA did not take that liscence at gun point. EA hatters still read EA news that's crazy. The NFL is a money league just like everything else. Maybe you kids need to move away from home and you will see. C.R.E.A.M, and that's what EA did. If ppl would have supported 2K sports in the past then their would be a NFL 2k6 but money talks guys, and no one supported 2k sports enough. Madden will still make $$$ it does not matter what EA hating video game righteous activist say.

EA sports should not count as EA in my opinion. Most EA games are shit but most EA sport games are fun, playable and great with some mates over. Fifa, Fight night, nba live, all amazing.

Funny, I see it differently--I don't care for EA sports at all really--EA Big has done some things that I've loved in the past though (SSX3, not having so much fun with SSX4)..but on the other hand, EA publishes a TON of great games, and owns some great properties away from sports..Burnout I wouldn't consider a traditional sports title for example--and they freak'n own DICE now..I'm always down for some tastey DICEcream.

Oh, and they own Maxis..a lot of AAA devs. under their roof--like it or not..personally..I don't like it, but I support the developers they publish anyway.

EA can't make BF2 suffer. As hard as they may try. God their QA sucks tho.

lol i just got finished watching and playing madden 06 on my xbox and i have to say it is by far the ugliest football game ive seen in 5 years even nfl 2k on dreamcast looked better than this game. From the cartoonish, jagged, and otherwise all around nasty looking. It only makes me mourn nfl 2k's beauty and innovation even more...but i guess 360's madden will look pretty good
