Geez, these shots look terrible even at the vita's native resolution (though I guess the faults won't be so visible when you're actually playing on the vita)

Please tell me the process of how you viewed the images in Vita's native resolution?

They are already at the native resolution; 960x544.

This will most likely be the case, when it's moving on the screen it was intended for, with no compression.

but on my monitor its huge, and the pixel density is no where near that of the Vita screen.

it could be an upscaled game, or Codemasters' low-res post processing has reared its ugly head all over again.

or it's just as ugly as psps ugly pos games, or as good looking as some of the better ones(crisis core), just with extra sparkles. jaggies seem to continue as shitty as ever.

Nevermind the graphics, I just cannot imagine driving these cars wiith that tiny analog stick. Where is the precision?

Sure looks upscaled to me. Even my dreamcast or xbox in vga cables look a helluva sharper and cleaner than these shots

It would look crap on your screen, your not seeing it on a native screen.

If your screen was 960x544, these would look fine.

Yeah, you do have a point. Looking at the shots on my phone now, they don't really look that bad. But the aliasing is still concerning. Really looks like an upscaled psp game

True georaldc, Maybe there is still a way to go in regards to graphics etc.

Heck i do like codemasters games, dirt etc, but i don't think the engine is greatly coded, takes way to much resources.

looks like a PSOne game. Sony should set a target benchmark for developers, those not meeting standards should be canned.

I mean when you are about to launch a new hardware and people see these screens...it puts the hardware in negative light. That Ridge Racer game looks equally bad...

Also it's about time Codemasters changed their studio name, more like Portmasters or Shovelware masters. They certainly aren't codemasters anymore

It doesn't look great, but it doesn't look that bad :D

There were better looking PSOne racing games, namely Crash team racing and a water based racing game that ran at 60 FPS (forgot the name)

That is pretty hideous. I wouldn't have even bothered releasing those shots...
