Konami has published some new screenshots illustrating Silent Hill HD Collection. The title will be released on 24th January 2012 in NA for both Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 and on 9th February in Europe.

I heard so many good things about the second one but those screen don't look that appealing to be honest.
Well it was a early title for the PS2 so you can't really expect too much no can you? Then again it all depends on the price point. I'm a consumer whore and i love these games to death so i'll probably pick them up, but i'm ahrd pressed to recommend them to someone who never played them before if the price tag is too high.
Then again Silent Hill 2 is a master piece, no doubt about it. Incredible game all in all. Especially for it's time.

Yeah another thing to note, why don't you try going into a Gamestop or Game and asking for Silent Hill 2 on PC. Count the confused looking staff you will encounter.

Because there is no difference. They're old games rendered at higher res. They look aesthetically better in lower res on a crt tv. There are some games that benefit from higher res (Shadow of the Colossus) , but Silent Hill is not one of them. I'll stick to my ps2 versions.

You do know the original voices are in there right? That was confirmed ages ago, hence that "comedy" image (i use the term loosely) doesnt make sence here.
