NFS Hot Pursuit: Choose your side!

NFS Hot Pursuit: Choose your side!

Will you choose to be a cop or a racer? That's the question asked in this new Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit trailer, mixing live sequences and in-game footage.
EDIT: the trailer's length is only 50s although the video lasts 5 minutes, EA's fault.

Is this like Undercover, where there's a story of you being the cop, or it's just a remake?

neither. its a sequel using the hot persuit gamplay mechanics. no cheesy story tacked on for the sake of it, but it isnt a vanilla remake either.

it DOES control like ass tho. so it at least has that in common.

Not really sure about the game but it seems to get good score so far.

LOL like if it is some fact or something?

It DOES NOT control like ass though.

See, I can do it myself too.

9/10 from IGN, 9/10 from Eurogamer, 9/10 from CVG. Gonna get this, I loved the demo. Some cars handle like ass, others are great. Just like in real life.

If this game was aimed at the sim fan where handling characteristics are crucial, KORNdogs comment would be valid.....however, it's an arcade 'chase HQ' adrenalin rush of nostalgia. Handling is designed around the gameplay, not realism.

it isnt the fact it's an arcade racer, i LOVE arcade racers more so then sims. but this feels unresponsive. and simply doesnt match the quality associated with criterion games. they could have improved upon what NFS is at a basic level, and yet they seem to have limited themselves and the game simply to retain the sluggishness that is now associated with the franchise, crappy, slow, unresponsive control.

driving through treacle. was like that in most wanted, was like that in underground, and it's still like that. which is a shame, becasue i was hoping this would be a return to form, not only for the NFS franchise, but for criterion (i didnt like the open world approach to paradise)

it may be getting rave reviews, and people may love it, props to them. but unless the demo's controls are not indicative of the full game, then i wont be touching this, not even with a rental.

GriftGFX I won't call you crazy.. I haven't played either. (2 Hours ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts People are gonna call me crazy, but I got far more enjoyment out of Watch Dogs 2's shooting mechanics than Ghost Recon: Wildlands'. Need to test other weapons, but only unlocked 2 of them. (3 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX I'm going to play it in about an hour after I finish up a few more rounds of Rainbow Six. It's a Tom Clancy night I guess. (4 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX That's weird.. aphex said the gun mechanics were pretty good. (4 Hours ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts Feels so much similar to Watch Dogs 2's mechanics, minus the best parts. (4 Hours ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts I understand what the developers are trying to achieve, but the execution leaves much to be desired. And make no mistake, this is a collect-a-ton open world first and foremost than a TPS game. (4 Hours ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts are too predictable. Didn't have any challenge to it. But it's not all bad, the chatter between the team members is really nice and the customization is great. Graphics are very good, minus pop-ins. (4 Hours ago)
