Trailer PC Xbox 360 PS3 Wii 3DS

EA revealed today the content of the Need For Speed: The Run Limited Edition. It will give you access to exclusive challenges and three of the world’s most elite cars: the Lamborghini Aventador, Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, and the Porche 911 Carrera S. You can find the new trailer below.
Update: 4 new screens added.

EVERY SECOND COUNTS IN NEED FOR SPEED THE RUN LIMITED EDITION

Your initiation into the world of underground racing is about to begin as you play as Jack Rourke. You buy-in for just $25K but the pay-out is $25M…if you make it out alive. Racing from San Francisco to New York against 200 other drivers, you will tear up the road in the battle to be first. Desert heat and snowy avalanches are the least of your problems as cops, rivals and mobsters are on your tail – some for the glory, some for the cash.

In Need for Speed™ The Run Limited Edition*, players have an edge – access to three of the world’s most elite cars – Lamborghini Aventador, Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 and the all-new Porsche 911 Carrera S. Available now for pre-order, Need for Speed The Run Limited Edition delivers racing action with a tough, edgy attitude, state-of-the-art graphics and a story that starts as a race for $25M but ultimately becomes a race for your life. Powered by Frostbite 2, Black Box Studio makes its return and takes the action racing genre to new heights with stunning visuals and car physics that hug the road at insanely fast speeds. Need for Speed The Run launches in the UK on November 18, 2011.

With the Limited Edition, players can feel what it’s like to tame three of the world’s most precisely handcrafted, high-tech supercars: the highly anticipated 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera S, the 700HP untamed beast known as the Lamborghini Aventador and the fastest, most technologically advanced Camaro ever built, the 2012 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1. The Need for Speed The Run Limited Edition also serves up five exclusive challenges, offering players the chance to one-up their friends and master their driving skills while earning bonus rewards and achievements.

In Need for Speed The Run, the cars are hot, the racing is intense and the story will have players at the edge of their seat, delivering this holiday’s most anticipated racing game.

Maybe I missed it? Is The Run an Open World racer where you need to get from A to B like you want to? (would rock I think, reminds me of an old C-64 game (forgot the name, The Drive II or something?)

It is not open world. But there will be different routes to go from point A to B. They actually have got some story mode. You need to reach final destination driving different cars in different circumstances something like that. They will be day time, night and hopefully weather as well.

Ah. I wanna get my hands on the ZL1. Too bad I don't want to play the Man-On-Rails-Quicktime-o-Rama that some asshat came up with to stick in my street racing game.

Shaders could do with some work, cars look like plastic. Looks nice otherwise tho. Just not keen on the idea of non skipable cutscenes in a friggin driving game?!?

Isn't this basically the same game as Need for Speed Hot Pursuit?

No, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit was made by geniuses who consistently put out 95% + games. This game is made by people who for the last six years have been destroying the named franchise. NFS Hot Pursuit was a huge map with no loading times. This game is tiny levels in comparison that have very redundant goals such as "Pass out 10 other cars to trigger a pointless event that tells you, you completed the level" (why???) So yeah basically the same game as Hot Pursuit.

Is this that famous QTE racing game from E3 ? With terrible physics, awful night stages and ridiculous helicopter sequences ? Seriously....racing games sucks nowadays
