I'm weirdly curious about this one. It looks great visually, especially with the dynamic terrain and water. I'm just not sure if its akin to farming simulator. Where you have to be really into this sort of thing to enjoy it?

Not really, the fun part is trying to get to the destination without too much damage and explore to find new trucks, and it's even funnier to play with friends in coop, if you're stuck they can try to get you out of the mud with the winch.

I remember spending a few hours on the first title on PC with my friend, we tries to cross a large river with a truck and a jeep, the jeep stalled because of the water and was carried away by the current. We tried to save the jeep with trucks and winch and ended up losing one truck but finally got the jeep back, badly damaged.

It's still fun playing alone though.

Sounds good. Might give this one a go. It's certainly something different. Curious to see how it looks and plays on PS4 though.

I loved the normal Spintires. I never even drove in the mud or drove a truck....I like offroad stuff like motorbikes or jeeps but that's it. Yet I think I spent around 50 hours in the previous Spintires....it was really satisfying and when you do coop (because vehicles can work together and help out when needed, like when you are stuck in the mud etc) it was a lot of fun. Also the maps were big and you could explore so many places. It's definitely something different.

I didn't know this was coming to console. I played a good few hours of the the original on PC.

GriftGFX I definitely don't fault people who can't afford to comply. And the situation sucks for them. That doesn't really draw any final conclusions about GDPR one way or the other. (1 Hour ago)

GriftGFX is handled in general. And that data doesn't need to be sold or even contain very personal information. We're talking about user profiles and game stats and shit. (1 Hour ago)

GriftGFX @nostradamus: People in that situation are just shutting down (like SteamSpy). But even if the core business isn't the handling of that data, we're talking about how user data generated by games (1 Hour ago)

nostradamus well, if their core buisness is handling of that information, then what to do? I do recon the directives are a bit insane on the IT side of things (no DB on biodata, deletion of user (1 Hour ago)

GriftGFX Cool. I'll keep calling people who lose their jobs because of the costs associated with compliance collateral damage. (1 Hour ago)
