Konami have pulled this trick before, think i'll wait for some actual gameplay footage first.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Konami really has to redeem itself - its reputation has taken a bit of a battering this generation when it comes to PES.

Yeh this shot means nothing to me. Even if it was Fifa I would feel the same way. Can't judge footy games until I see some gameplay footage which I'm guessing we'll see at E3. Even then I normally hold off on making a decision until I play the demo.
Konami have to do alot to tear me away from Fifa again though.

Well, according to many reports it is actually a screenshot which has been taken in-game. I still have my reservations, but it'd be great if it was true - it looks almost a generation of consoles better than the PES09 Messi screenshot we saw last year.

The shirt resolution is bad enough to make it believable. As are Messi's cold, dead eyes.

Superb lighting and detail on the face. Also the colors in the background look very natural. Shirt resolution isn't too bad. The fabric is realistic. Barca logo can be done better. True. If they fix the gameplay issues then this could be a FIFA killer. The battle between both FIFA and PES is good for the fans. :-)

Demo please.. :D nothing else to judge a game on besides a real demo.

Konami should seriously put their artists on a zombie game. They're incredibly skilled in rendering undead.

Anyway, i'm one of those waiting PES to regain its throne.

A shot like this doesn't mean zip. When we're playing the game and even in replays it's very unlikely we'll be in such closeups.

They'd do better to concentrate on making the stadiums look halfways decent as it'll have much more impact in terms of making the game look better.

The lightning looks good but its blocky and it has some shitty textures.
And while the models in FIFA look like wax-figures, the skin in PES semms to be egg carton


Im not a fortune-teller so I wont say that FIFA will beat the shit out of PES again, but I doubt that PES will be visually better than its rival.

Pro Evolution player faces have always looked much more convincing than FIFA despite being the underdog in the graphics department

I completely agree. the zombies used in DR look more alive then messi :( but as far as I know, PES was always known for it's Gameplay rather than the visuals.

Eh, I actually think it looks really good - especially if you compare it to last year's graphics. It's certainly a significant improvement anyway.

I just hope for PES to return to its glory days.
