One PES 2010 images

One PES 2010 images

As a way to prove that this time they are serious, Konami sent us this screenshot of PES 2010 showing the modeling of Lionel Messi, along with the new lighting and shadowing system of the game's engine.

Konami have pulled this trick before, think i'll wait for some actual gameplay footage first.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Konami really has to redeem itself - its reputation has taken a bit of a battering this generation when it comes to PES.

FIFA is the king at the moment.

Something is wrong with the aspect ratio on that pic here in gamersyde. It looks right on winningelevenblog.com

Yeh this shot means nothing to me. Even if it was Fifa I would feel the same way. Can't judge footy games until I see some gameplay footage which I'm guessing we'll see at E3. Even then I normally hold off on making a decision until I play the demo.
Konami have to do alot to tear me away from Fifa again though.

Well, according to many reports it is actually a screenshot which has been taken in-game. I still have my reservations, but it'd be great if it was true - it looks almost a generation of consoles better than the PES09 Messi screenshot we saw last year.

The shirt resolution is bad enough to make it believable. As are Messi's cold, dead eyes.

I posted the image as it was sent, so blame Konami.

Superb lighting and detail on the face. Also the colors in the background look very natural. Shirt resolution isn't too bad. The fabric is realistic. Barca logo can be done better. True. If they fix the gameplay issues then this could be a FIFA killer. The battle between both FIFA and PES is good for the fans. :-)

Demo please.. :D nothing else to judge a game on besides a real demo.

Konami should seriously put their artists on a zombie game. They're incredibly skilled in rendering undead.

Anyway, i'm one of those waiting PES to regain its throne.

As the immortal line from Rhodes from Day of the Dead goes, "Is this the shit that's supposed to knock our socks off!"

*Yawn*

Looks alright. And I mean just alright. Note to Konami and Seabass: stick it up your holes! This is what the game should have looked like...FOUR FUCKING YEARS AGO!

Sorry, Seabass. No new engine. No buy. Keep it. Fifa '10 will batter this back into the last gen where it now belongs. RIP PES.

A shot like this doesn't mean zip. When we're playing the game and even in replays it's very unlikely we'll be in such closeups.

They'd do better to concentrate on making the stadiums look halfways decent as it'll have much more impact in terms of making the game look better.

Why would people believe that this is not ingame?!

The lightning looks good but its blocky and it has some shitty textures.
And while the models in FIFA look like wax-figures, the skin in PES semms to be egg carton

Im not a fortune-teller so I wont say that FIFA will beat the shit out of PES again, but I doubt that PES will be visually better than its rival.

LEATHERFACE!! RUUN!

THE EARS!!!

Otherwise looks great, won't mean much when you are using tele cam though I hope they use AA and focus blurring FIFA09 is really jaggy playing on a monitor.

He just looks deathly pale. Needs BRAAAINS or something...

Pro Evolution player faces have always looked much more convincing than FIFA despite being the underdog in the graphics department

Screenshots are nothing. I want a gameplay video, then I'll believe.

Skin is like basketball texture... as a matter of fact, it looks like he just swallowed that basketball.

Looks like one of those terrifying Japanese "realistic-looking" sex dolls.

I completely agree. the zombies used in DR look more alive then messi :( but as far as I know, PES was always known for it's Gameplay rather than the visuals.

Not anymore they don't.

Eh, I actually think it looks really good - especially if you compare it to last year's graphics. It's certainly a significant improvement anyway.

I just hope for PES to return to its glory days.

What's up?
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX I just think it's a pretty bad sign if a new game can't generate interest on a free weekend. The fact that there are other new games is not a very compelling excuse imo. (28 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX Black Ops is also the most popular Call of Duty sub-brand now. (29 minutes ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts Also, even WD2 and Dishonered 2 sold much less than the previous games in their series. Same for CoD:IW, very few games that got released this Holiday season sold more than their predecessors. (40 minutes ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts electric devices, entertainment devices, etc. So who has that much money left that isn't reserved for Christmas perparation and gifts?! All around bad timing, hence why I believe Spring would be right (42 minutes ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts Then you have the fact that by now people's wallets are hurting. And many people buyed new consoles, PS4 Base or Pro, and XB1 S. Plus Holiday season sells a lot of other things like clothes, PC parts, (44 minutes ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts I believe it has to do with the fact that there's too many games to play at the moment, and most of these new games ar very long. This is the week FF15 was just released, and WD2 on PC as well. (46 minutes ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts Maybe, but I believe it would have become a kind of "cult-classic" niche game even if it failed to become a very huge success. Still, if a game like TF2 isn't succesful, it's a real shame. (47 minutes ago)
