25 players (or 14, see below). You guys can read the press release if you want (I'm putting it below in boulet time, so it won't ruin the page format. Very long).

"it seems dice may have a bit of compitishion on their hands"

Dice isn't making any Xbox games, are they? "BF2" is being handled by a different developer, and is hardly the same game that Dice made for PC..did they release a console product or something?

The PC version is excellent, the online play is just so damn temperemental. I might just pick this up for some Live warfare! The mission editor should be absolutely amazing.

Dice are co-working on Battlefield MC for Xbox. I think an EA-office in UK are helping them with the single player mode. Bohemia Interactive is the developer of OPE though.

We did some testing against Codemasters on a 2Mb up/down dedicated server and had a deathmatch going with 32 players, it ran completely smooth and rock solid, we were confident that under similar conditions it could easily handle quite a few more players. Obviously not everyone has a 2mb up/down connection handy but it qives you an idea :)

They're WWI Sopwith Camel Biplanes :)

We released them as a patch for Operation Flashpoint on the PC a long time ago so we of course had to put them into the game. Operation Flashpoint: Elite has a really fun multiplayer Team DM type mission called Camel Dogfighting, you score points for landing on a certain runway or shooting down the enemy :)

Awesome, straight from the horses mouth (as it were!)

Are you guys gonna be talking about Flashpoint 2 after XBox Flashpoint hits retail?
Commented on 2005-10-14 19:54:03
Maybe a little, but after Opf:Elite is retail, has download content worked on and such we then have to focus on ArmA (Armed Assault) next :)

Melmoth the arcade shadow dancer is also nice, built on the same gameplay foundations as arcade shinobi, but a bit weaker level design. i also love rolling thunder 1&2, which are also very similar (9 Hours ago)
  • Melmoth
Melmoth i played a bit of shinobi and kunoichi on ps2, but they are really just shinobi in name. (9 Hours ago)
